+ I'm downloading Starship Troopers 2 and also found an animated series called Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles. being a big fan of Starship Troopers this looks exciting
- unfortunately I think both are gonna be pretty bad, or at best just ok. but I'm not that picky, as long as I get to see cool weapons and lots of aliens getting shot.

I used to watch the cartoon before school though...not great, but not as bad as it could've been.

I liked the first movie a lot too, not sure why though

I just read a bunch of reviews on IMDB and 9 out of 10 said the movie is horrible, some even said "don't go anywhere near it". but every now and then someone said it was amazing for a horror b-movie and that the special effects are great for such a low budget flick. and also, it's Phil Tippett who directs and he's done special effects for the first movie, along with Star Wars, Evolution and more. so I doubt the effects are cheesy.

about the firs movie... I love the mixture of sci-fi, pure action and comedy. it's not often it's done that well.

I rented Starship Troopers 2 some time ago and watched about 20 minutes of it. The first one was great but the sequel just blows so don't expect too much. And I think the best mixture of scifi, action and some comedy is in Aliens.
