Nice heavy riff in the background. Perhaps from the new record?

Probably not worth mentioning, though

yeah, that riff seems to be very heavy, i hope will be in the record.

Diplo

I hope this is a riff from Steph, even if its just 10 second. It seems to be promising

Deftones + Jerry Cantrell

:o

Last night

My old boss stopped by the studio to lay down some fire on a Def track

Relatively big news and no one on here seems to care. This place is truly fucked...

A Jerry Cantrell collab just isn't exciting I even like Alice in Chains and I think he's a good guitarist but it was Laynes voice that was the selling point for me, I just think if theirs going to be a guest guitarist it would be cool to see someone like Adam Jones or Ben Weinman who's going to add something really different to Stephens style, I'm sure he'll do an adequate job and the song will be fine but it's hard to get excited about it.

I see. Well I'm still a big fan of Alice In Chains and think that their two recent albums were just as good as their previous output with Layne. As incredible as Layne was, Jerry has always been the driving force behind AIC for me. I'm curious how that'll work out.
But still, I didn't expect there to be no reaction.

I agree and can't wait to hear what he has played.

I also love AIC, so this is good news to me.

If true, I'm pumped for the Cantrell collab. I LOVE his solos.

That said, I'm not a huge fan of his voice so I hope it's only some guitar work he's laying down.

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.

+1 great find. I wanted to hear more about if Stephen was going to use them for sure. Its cool because Steph is basically the one thats going to promote the 8 string version for Fishman, because they originally only had 7 string versions (promoted by Ken Susi Unearth) when they first came out on the market.

I expected the Lemon party link, I'm disappointed.

Nice attempt, though it was quite obvious it wasn't true
