Had to be a couple dozen haha. I let an audible "Noooo" when Dan from Deadwood got headshotted in that Heat-like shootout. This show really knows how to end episodes.

Mariam, I know you hate Vaughn, but come on this line was pretty sweet: "Things move fast now, babe. Someone hit the fucking warp drive and I'm trying to navigate through the blur." COME ON.

and gay as fuck paul better not marry a woman. it'll be the most cliche fucking closeted gay shit to do. but of course he will do it. enjoy popping viagra and staying in the bathroom for 20 mins for the rest of your life.

I loved it when the closeted gay dude was telling the fat slob cop how "some fag was staring at me at the check out, and I was about to clock him". His response/face was enjoyable.

I actually enjoy vince Vaughan in this show. He's a good shit talker

I'm still enjoying this, and having fun watching it. Sure there are faults. Like who the hell is Stan; what happened to Birdman; who cares about Blake; me wanting more Bohemian Grove and Santa Muerte stuff. With Vince Vaughn, I'm enjoying him - he is usually either pretty good or so bad it's hilarious and awesome (and some of it could be chalked up to some lame writing).

But I love my crime dramas, and where else on tv am I going to find (mostly) awesome actors going on benders, spewing random existential, sometimes cliched nonsense, while solving some fucked up crimes? This is pretty much exactly what I want in a show like this.

And give me more depressing bar scenes.

Oh man, I don't know. There was so much magic. Was it Frank repeatedly saying "Two weeks. Or less." to everyone?

So why couldn't we get more of the bar owner and Nails this season, instead of Woodrugh's mom and Stan's family? And why didn't we even find out Frank's driver was named Nails until the finale?

seeing frank die left me so conflicted. why let him achieve so much and then kill him off in the most cliched way?? and not fucking fair to not let us see all the corrupt arseholes not get their due.

ray's dad watching the telly was the part that made me really sad.

Agreed on the Ray's Dad part. That was probably the ultimate sad moment.


But that ending was exactly what I liked. I love when shows and movies have depressing or bad endings. Things rarely work out the way you want. Also makes you look for some sort of silver lining. Like the ginger kid really was Ray's (even though he never officially knew) and now he's got a second son. And the hope that the reporter Ray beat up will actually successfully bring the bad guys into the public eye and get some justice.


Wasn't the first season kind of similar in that regard? The main characters may have survived, but with the exception of Lawnmower Man the bad guys (especially with money) stayed free I think.

i love those types of endings too but the way frank went out was just borderline boring for me. ray's ending was a lot more believable. i would like to think that ani and jordan get married and raise ray's son together.

the first season had a lot more to it and a lot more substance than this season did. i think every twist and turn and every piece of dialogue had a place within the wider context of the narrative. season two: not so much.

This is still my favorite scene of the season, with the added bonus that it accurately predicted exactly how Ray would die.
