Okay, got mine in and it has some (cool) pressing mistakes. I like mistakes.
It has 2 registration marks in the band photo. These are normally used outside of the artwork to register the 4 colors while printing. Who has this too? Does the USA version have this too?

I have the HT one, mine does not have that mark.

UK arrived today. US shipped Wednesday. deftones.com ordered. Just waiting on Hot Hopic to go online.

So how does it sound? Ordered my copy yesterday. All the other Lps sound great on my basic system

Hesperian Death-Horse!

My clear copy sounds pretty damn good. I was getting some pops at the beginning of "Tempest" when I first spun it but I listened again today and its just about completely gone. Overall, I would say its a very good sounding record. I'll have to give it another undistracted listen soon.

aeroplume

Awesome. Look forward to having a few beers and spinning this.

Hesperian Death-Horse!

My black copy will probably be in by tomorrow.

None on standard US version (actually 'Printed in Canada').

Also, Hot Topic is now online http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/Vinyl//Deftones+-+Koi+No+Yokan+Vinyl+LP-308760.jsp

I have the EUR one with the 2 pressing mistakes on the back (one between Sergio's legs and the other partly in the black section above.

Go mine from my local record shop, They had 2 copies, one with the registration mark in between Sergio's legs, (sold out when I went back in yesterday, it was pay day.), I ended up with the 180g copy, which has the registration mark to the right of Sergio's head. Pic below.

Really disappointed with the design too, what a waste of a gatefold, plenty of promo band photos or artwork that could've been used instead of coloured water. Is Frank Maddocks retired? That guy had an eye for design, loved his grungy designs from Wp through to SNW

slyartwork

I agree with the design... They could get rid of that innersleeve and put that info in the gatefold. But the entire design itself I do not really like at all. CD and LP. I love the WP gatefold with the lyrics in them etc. Way better than an extra insert/innersleeve...

It just seems a bit rushed with not much care.

slyartwork

The band themselves are not really too much into the artwork thing. Frank Maddocks has been doing this for a long time for them which seems easy for them to work with him. I guess they are like 'okay' with what he comes up with. I mean, after the simple artwork for DE I expected something different this time. Again, pretty simple layout. It does not speak for me at all all those light reflections etc. It fists Deftones though but I was curious if they would come with something new/nice...
