according to chino, the music's recorded on 2 more tracks. chino didn't put any vocals on them though, and won't do so, so no bonus stuff it seems

yeah what happened to those.they talked about doing some early elvis and earth wind & fire. guess the whole thing just fizzled out. honestly though, that seemed just like a fun thing more than making music that really was genuinely good with a lasting value

Read somewhere that those were not recorded as well. Or was it on some podcast. I don't remember.

Actually, going back through their other records, there's so much going on at any time on KNY that a lot of their older stuff feels... empty.

I agree with that last part. In my very humble opinion, KNY is absolutely great. Chino's voice sounds as good as ever.

Just received my CD from UPS. Loving the psychedelic vibe of the artwork in the liner notes; so perfectly fitting. This is clearly their best record, or at the very least the equal of White Pony (their "late-career" WP). Rosemary is also easily my favorite Deftones song.

A few more days and many more listens in........Definitely the most consistent album since ATF imo. Not a bad song. I have even really started digging Graphic Nature. That song came out of nowhere! On my first spin of KNY, Graphic Nature almost ruined my amazing mood. Lately though, if I only have 10 or 15 mins to listen to a few songs, Graphic usually gets a play. Leathers/Tempest have regained a sense of newness.

I do not like much radio pop music, but my taste in music ranges wildly. In Flames to Imogen Heap, Deftones to Eminem's old stuff, Thursday to Lady Gaga (except the new album). While 75% of the music I listen to is rock in some way or another, I have always had a weak spot for an ultra catchy chorus. Maybe the pop sensibilities on KNY make me love this album so much as I do.

And before people bash some of the stuff I listen to, just know that Deftones are my all-time favorite by miles

I can dig your taste brother! Always better to have an open mind with things! You like what you like....if anybody says its shit then tell them to piss off This rule does not apply to Green Day and Blink 182 fans though...they can all burn hahaha

I am to loving Graphic Nature at the mo, that and What Happened To You are really really growing fast on me
