Okay so I was able to resist the leak but when they posted it streaming on rollingstone.com I had to take a listen and here are just a few thoughts. I'm digging the use of echo on this record, Also someone had me worried saying they didnt scream on this record but I heard plenty of screams tastefully thrown in there like on romantic dreams and gauze. Also the record seems to be freakin sleeping pill everytime I put it on I pass out it's just so relaxing! I think entombed is my favorite

No matter how many times I clean out my ears, I cannot hear the screams on Romantic Dreams and Gauze.  My copy must be a fake! ;p

OK maybe a stuupid question but Ive always wanted to KNow, is Stephens name prounouced like Steven of Stefan??
I used to think it was Stefan but someone said it was Steven, but Im sure ive heard Chino live call him Stefan??

I personally can't stop listening to it. and song i didn't care for at first (graphic nature, goon squad) i start liking them, they grow on me fast.  Really great album, i like that it's very cohesive.

Swerve City should have been the street single to get public attention, and then Entombed as the first official single. I don't know what Warner is thinking releasing Tempest as the lead single and now talks of Rosemary being the next. Those are the two longest songs on the record.

No radio station is going to play a six or seven minute song unless it's Metallica or someone as equally big name.

whoops just realized that when listening on rollingstone.com it plays tracks other than the ones you click when I clicked on leathers and it played what i think is swereve city so I'm all messed up

hate to say it but the deftones have officially become like every other band thats been around to long...they ran out of ideas, are repeating themselves and are playing boring setlists live...its time break up and everyone go do their sep things and reunite in 7 years

I am changing my opinion. I think this album is amazing. fuck adrenaline and around the fur, they are shit compared to this. S/T is a joke compared to this. this is by far their best album, they just get better and better...liek totally

Word. Yeah, I joined up back around 2003 (I was 16 @ the time) and I've seen a lot of people talk about how it used to be.. but I've enjoyed hanging around this time around.
Back when I was showing up in 2003, it seemed like there were waaay more intensely opinionated assholes than there are now.
Everyone for the most part is on the same page, haven't seen very many arguments or fighting back and forth.
Plus most of my friends (except 2) don't really listen to Deftones anymore. So it's nice to talk with a bunch of folks that share the love for tha tones like I do.
