What Happened to You is quickly becoming my favorite by the way. Entombed has also grown tremendously on me.

What Happened is growing on me. It was my least fav at first, along with Graphic Nature. But those two are growing quickly on me. This album is just all around fan-fucking-tastic. I have no qualms with it whats so ever.

Chino retains his older ATF/WP vocal style a lot on Graphic Nature, I love it. but Poltergeist/Swerve City/Entombed/Goon Squad are my faves! along with Romantic Dreams. That guitar riff at the opening, it's so unlike typcal Deftones style - but it's fuckin sweet!

Deftones delivered. And it was well worth all that waiting and refreshing pages! lol Can't wait to get the hard copy so I can flip through the booklet.

Does anyone feel like Abe was holding back on this album?  I guess maybe because I have Graphic Nature playing right now.  It just seems like he could have really made that song shine and he keeps pretty much playing the same thing over and over.  I would have liked to hear him show out more.

Ya'll think Gauze should be a single? It's got EVERYTHING you love about Deftones. Pounding guitar riffs, the rhythm just makes your head nod, and the chorus is so catchy in a good way, in the vein of "Minerva". It totally needs to be a single.

I agree. There are a couple tracks where I felt like he could have done a little more, but still - he's the drummer not me. He hammers away at certain parts. His drums sound on fucking point tho!!

Has anyone listened to this record while fucked up yet? I have only listened to it while completely sober. Didn't one person say they were going to listen to it on shrooms? Kinda curious as to what that experience was like.

Is that really necessary?

What does that even mean, of course its not necessary. Its fun, thats what its about. You should know if you're 17 years old ;)

I listened to the album stoned last night.
Pretty sure I put too much weed in it as well cause I was stoned out of my mind, I'm just not used to it anymore ;)

But it was fun. Favorites after the first two listens are Poltergeist, Graphic Nature, Tempest and Goon Squad.
There was a part in Gauze in which the guitar sounded a lot like Meshuggah, in the middle of the song. Did anyone else hear that too? From the second minute onward for like 10 seconds.

I have to say for me some of the strongest moments of the album are when Abe comes up with a nice hi-hat+snare beat and Steph brings one of his Meshuggah-inspired riffs, like in Poltergeist and Goon Squad or the end of Rosemary.

Does Gauze make someone else think of Risk?

Yes! But like I said the last time I agreed with you in the context of KNY being a DE sequel - it's an improvement.

Woke up this morning with Swerve City looping in my head and an email saying my pre-order has shipped! Great stuff. Glad this album
is finally out. Has anyone checked out the FLAC release of KNY?
Yeah,I checked the flac, its legit.and to guy who pmed it to me,no I was'nt the one to leak it publiclly.

HOW THE FUCK YOU DO ITTTTTT!!!???

Yeah i know what you mean about Abe...maybe just mix it up a tad on Graphic Nature! But i think he allowed to have a lazy track once in a while :P

I cant put my finger on it but the ending of Gauze reminds me of another song by stone sour or down-open coffins.

Haven't tried it, yet. I will definitely give it a shot sometime, though. I just can't imagine how that contributes to the listening experience. Don't you just get totally confused by it? I really have no idea  :D

His drumming on Romantic Dreams is killer IMO
