Does Gauze make someone else think of Risk?

Yes! But like I said the last time I agreed with you in the context of KNY being a DE sequel - it's an improvement.

Woke up this morning with Swerve City looping in my head and an email saying my pre-order has shipped! Great stuff. Glad this album
is finally out. Has anyone checked out the FLAC release of KNY?
Yeah,I checked the flac, its legit.and to guy who pmed it to me,no I was'nt the one to leak it publiclly.

I love how Stephen's riff "stumbles" at the very end of Poltergeist.

gimme a time signature.. what part exactly do you mean? im trying to catch what youre saying

It's right at 3:19 mins

That's where he changes key in the riff, it sounds badass

Sorry If it's already been said but does anyone else get a feeling the WHTY? could be about Chi...
The part where he talks about "a star is buring out, the sky belongs to you" almost aseems as though he is giving up hope?

I've had this shit on repeat all day at my desk. It's kinda hard to mosh in an office chair while writing SQL. Bumped my head.

I'm loving this album more with each listen. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the songs blend together. It's an album and not just a collection of songs. I melt for Rosemary/Goon Squad. Love the experimentation.

I'm totally with you on that. This album flows very nicely from one song to the next. In fact, it flows so nicely, that before you know it the album is over. I've probably listened to it about 15 times since I downloaded the leak when it first popped up online yesterday.
They've done it again. They never disappoint, I'm very pleased with KNY and I think everyone for the most part will be as well.

Hmmm I wouldn't doubt that some of the lyrics on both KNY & even Diamond Eyes are about Chi. How could he not think of Chi while writing lyrics for such an emotional album?
But I think the lyrics are very vague and broad, it's up to the listener.. whatever you take from the song/lyrics.
I think Chino wants you to relate the songs and lyrics to whatever "you" as a listener are going through in your life..  ;)

Risk has been confirmed to be about Chi but that's the only one we know of. I like to interpret things for myself anyway.

Yeah, but that one was kind of obvious. At least to me it was, when I heard it I knew for certain it was about Chi.
Risk is a great, heartfelt song. Not doubting, just curious though, when did they confirm that?
Was it in an interview? I'd like to check it out.

Has anyone listened to this record while fucked up yet? I have only listened to it while completely sober. Didn't one person say they were going to listen to it on shrooms? Kinda curious as to what that experience was like.

Yeah one guy said he was going to listen to it on shrooms. I'm pickin' some up this weekend, I'll report back.
I think this album would be the best to trip to out of their catalog.. It's got a spacey vibe to it. It's very chill at moments, but very aggressive.  LOL but that sounds like all their shit.
I dunno. this album just has that "feel" to it.. it would be an experience on psychedelics.

Is that really necessary?

Chino confirmed it in an interview sometime last year or so. Can't remember the specific interview. They often dedicated it to Chi live.

Also I've been stoned every time I've listened to the album. Was home sick from work today and spent it smoking joints and listening to KNY. But me stoned is pretty much just me normal but in a slightly better mood.

"Goon Squad" has such a classic Steph riff in the verses. Its just Nick's production kind of takes away from it....

Almost feels a little Messhuggah-ish.
