I've got plenty of patience. From the preview, the album seems more than worth the wait.

Everyone's concerns about a softer side of the Deftones are pretty funny. Chino is in Crosses and Team Sleep, and both are brimming with softness. This is the same band that has released 'Diary of an Uninteresting ...' and 'Teenager'. I would expect as they get older to mellow out. Also, everyone's pop concerns are unfounded. The band make music for themselves. There are no overt radio salvos. If something hits the airwaves, so be it.

I'm flying from Oregon to New York to see Dredg play El Cielo (my favorite album of all time) on Friday night!   I sure hope Koi No Yokan leaks before then so I can listen to it on the plane ride!

Dude. I just checked out Dredg. They seem like beasts. Bug Eyes is great. Currently checking out their entire discography.

Please, explain to me why ATF is a great album. It's brutal. It has some good songs, but it's just so unrefined and basic compared to the diversity that the band has embraced and how nuanced they are as a group now and afterward. 'Damone' is probably the best song on that album.
