there's a lot of talk about that it should be a mix with soft and heavy... but what about happy and sad? not so much sad stuff in the snippets.tempest seems to be the saddest song on the album judging by these clips. didn't expect it to be when i first heard it

So I made myself stop listening, I want the whole thing to be a surprise. I've already listened to 3 of the songs from the album.. that's enough for now.

I love almost every song, based on the samples, and I piss on everyone's opinion because ultimately it is only my opinion that is relevant to me.
Not really sure about Romantic Dreams, though...

Again, what's wrong with RD??? I love it..

I don't know, it's just that it didn't seem to be to my liking. I am not, in any way, saying it's not a good song. It may be the best on the album. It's just that I don't like it. It reminds me of 976-EVIL a bit, and that was the one song I didn't really like off of DE.
But still, it's only a 30 second snippet; can't say anything final yet.

There was absolutely no genuinely sad or depressing stuff on DE, and that was a bit of a weakness. But I think you're overlooking Rosemary, which might be the most empty, depressing vibe they've had since S/T. I know the lyrics are open to less dreary interpretations, but musically... combined with lines like "cross the empty sky"... it takes me right back to the WGTB/Battle-Axe sequence.

I do hear you on the first couple tracks, but after that I'm not sure it's any happier than, say, some of WP's upbeat stuff.

yeah i just think of rosemary as being dreamy and not very depressing or sad... but i guess you're right, it has some sadness to it too
