what deluxe editions are you talking about, ive only seen preorders for just the CD and the package deal on deftones.com. neither are deluxe editions, and Chino and Vega confirmed they never recorded covers so what are you talking about???

I don`t get why the people that have this already won`t leak it. The way I see it, those who are going to buy it will buy it regardless. Those who will only download it will still only download it even when its released. What percentage of people will only download it now and not buy because it leaked?

I'm glad it hasnt leak yet. Diamond eyes leaked wayyyy too early. I was not expecting it, was surprised, but i didn't get the fun of the expectation. It was like if your parents when you were a kid decided that fuck it, christmas is on october and they tell you the same day as it happens. I hope it doesn't leak until the 9th.

I don`t get why the people that have this already won`t leak it. The way I see it, those who are going to buy it will buy it regardless. Those who will only download it will still only download it even when its released. What percentage of people will only download it now and not buy because it leaked?

I've seriously wondered this for many years. How many freeloaders are freeloading only because it leaked a week early? Would not those same assholes just download on release day in lieu of buying, if it took that long?

It seems pretty clear that early leaks really do impact sales, given how aggressive bands and record companies are in fighting them. I just don't really understand why. The time at which I download a record has virtually no impact on how likely I am to ultimately buy it.

It's also exceptionally sad that a lot of people evidently see these early leaks, which are often not the best quality, as acceptable substitutes for pristine CD-quality audio. Then again, most of my friends don't see the problem with listening to most of their music on YouTube, so audiophiles (or anything resembling them) are fighting a losing battle, I'm afraid. (This also manifests itself in the public being willing to bend over and shell out $11.99 for shitty lossy iTunes downloads when the CD is the same price or cheaper, but that's a rant for another thread).

I dare you to tell the difference between a top notch quality rip and the cd. Seriously.
