Imminent cannon battles. Also, Deftones might win the Nobel prize.

Awesome but i cannot STAND METALSUCKS i fucking HATE AND DETEST that site. People are full of shit, I remember back in 03 the meatheads on there would bash deftones and lump them in with LB and Linkin Park, and they bashed chino when he was mad that they had to open up for linkin park and limp bizkit.

Assholes, man I'm telling you.

Straight neanderthals.

The turds at Blabbermouth do the same thing, they have a very small (and i mean small) window of heavy music they like and they simply shit on everything else. I usually just ignore it or if i'm in the mood i just tell them how clever they are with lines like "Five Finger Cock Brunch" or "Fag Fuckers Donkey Punch" in the comment section on the story about FFDP, and just for the record im not defending said band it's just a lot of fun to mock their supposed creativity.
We are ok in a misguided Sadist way

I guess I just prefer the track by track type reviews better.  The review completely left out half the album.  No mention of the opener,  or how the studio versions of Poltergeist and Rosemary sounds.  No mention of Romantic Dreams either.  For a review that seemed to hit on the flow of the album, they sure did leave out quite a few songs.

It's pretty ridiculous to leave out mentioning of songs on an album of this length....

Do you think they actually have the album now, or they are finally able to report their thoughts from the listening party last month?

DenOndaNissen

After reading that review im super stoked! Could this album be their no.1 masterpiece?

nah man, I liked the interview simply because it left out detailed descriptions of the songs. it talked about the album on a whole, both in comparison to their earlier work and as a stand-alone album. it mentioned songs in a way that peaks your interest, without spoiling them and giving away too much. a review isn't meant to describe an album in detail, it's supposed to give people the general idea and help them decide wether they might like it or not, plus create hype and discussion. which I think this review did perfectly. I don't want to know every little details about the songs before I hear them, and this review only made me fantasize more about the different sounds and concepts it may contain.

only pieces remain

that reviewers brains are a tad scrambled i'd say. idk wtf he was talking about for 75% of the damn review. Hopefully this gets the ball rolling though.

weird review. he seems to wither around and use lots of metaphors to describe things. he fails to mention which tracks are the heavier ones,
he compares diamond eyes to around the fur - what the fuck ?
he says they have the same track order - what the fuck does that mean ? they go up incrementally by 1 each time?

either way, it's quite clearly a positive review so i'm just as anxious for the album as i was before

why would he mention that? that's only interesting to the hardcore fans who hang around a forum discussing which songs might be heavy and which ones might not.
