Never mind, he's in the army.

DeftonesNZ

It's kind of a fucked up thing for them to do it excludes all their international audience from getting access to the single what do they think would happen of course people will download a pirated version why should their other fans have to miss out when they would happily pay for it as well but they can't so like a lot of movie piracy people will pirate it because it's the only way to get it,plus they aren't really losing money because the people that will download it can't buy it anyway so it's not lost sales.

General Statement: I really don't care what you download...what leaked tracks you listen/don't wanna listen to...or weather you're going to buy the album even if it leaks. You're gonna do what you wanna do and I'm gonna do what I wanna do. Do what the hell you want...but can we just get back to the topic at hand which is apparently Koi No Yokan't?

Sure, I haven't read as many interviews as with previous albums so i apologize ahead of time if this has been answered, is Chino getting alot of guitar time on this album or are most of the duties being handled by Steph?

Chino's playing quite a lot 2/3rds of the songs if i recall correctly, Also Abe said he's got a lot better and has added alot of difficulty to his parts compared to previous albums.

dictatesofreason

yeah you said that people expect to have shit given to them for free that thats a "problem" young people have now days, then you said that you are a pirate your self and that your reasoning is that you "sample before you buy"?? Kind of criss crossing are you not? Who gives a fuck if any of the new shit is posted here or not, half of you dont have hard copies of the album or collect demos and shows like its money, whats the big deal anyways. As far as the album goes yeah i kinda get that, but a single song that we already heard and know why tray and catagorize that as "Watching a new movie for free" -its not a new movie its an old one thats been re released.

So what I'm in the military frenchman? C'mon rag in that I dare you, because guess what your opinion is just that-yours. You might be a great uploader but so what? The rest of us have lives and jobs and cant be on the internets all the time like you bro- Your not god man the new rank and file around are maybe young and restless and it may annoy you all but shit all us older people helped build the world they live in now man

If any thing this new album confirms that in the end as much as people may some thing in common with others
they each are as very different and far apart as can be. Any one want skeep talkin Pm me or hitup the BS thread its my fave.

He plays on every song but Poltergeist I believe. He played on 11 of 13 recorded songs and 10 of those he played on made the album.

Hmm.. from what I've heard so far, I don't hear anything that really stands out from Abe, like in an overwhelming way, like ATF or Digital Bath, etc.. but we have the whole rest of the album to hear... I take it Romantic Dreams will probably be where he showcases his talent from all of the tempo switching... We'll see. I would love to hear Abe have another breakthrough track

You also have to wonder if Chinos' been influenced by the new Palms project. I know it's far off, but if he's been listening to demos consistently, it may have rubbed off on him a bit.

DeftonesNZ

Yeah possibly i don't know how early he started working with palms though also can't tell because the demo probably wouldn't have sounded like ISIS guitar because Chino said palms isn't just ISIS with him singing so they might of changed their style looking forward to it love ISIS but not to keen on their vocals. I think a lot of his progress is probably just natural growth he said when they jam or try come up with ideas he grabs a guitar instead of writing vocals , whereas before the band would write most of the music and he would write vocals to match that was why SNW was so fucked up.

I wouldn't think it would be a decision motivated by money as much as it would be pain for those guys. If they release it, it no longer becomes theirs - and they would likely have to perform a few songs from it, over and over. Each time remembering what they were each going through at the time. And Chi. I'm sure for them, the Eros days feel like just happened yesterday.

I feel like they've all said they've managed to become a lot happier as artists since then. With that comes a shift in creative sensibilities and a resulting boost in a new direction. I would imagine that everything on KNY would have been written for KNY

abes been doing alot of press for this record lol I want more interviews with stef and frank. Id like to hear more from them on this matter
