Koi No Yokan thread

Believe it or not, i'm going into this album with pretty low expectations. The singles were good enough, but I can't shake the feeling that this album is going to be one of those albums that is hot when you first hear it, but has no staying power. With Dimaond eyes I didn't really have any anticipation for the album, so when it came out it surprised me. It's aged relatively well.

Idk. I don't want to feel that way about a new Deftones album. Can't shake it though.

In my opinion i didnt really like diamond eyes .. it was awesome at first .. my favorite track was actually risk and 976 evil .. but after awhile it died off .. dont get me wrong i loved it!! Its just my least favorite deftones album .. now albums like white pony and s/t .. hell yea .. and from all 4 tracks that ive heard from koi no yokan really amszed me and i just really cant wait for the studio version of poltergeist and rosemary .. all 4 tracks sound amazing .. but imagine all the other 7 songs that we havnt heard yet ... it gets me excited O.O...

Exactly. Why does everyone view cassettes/players so alien now? It's only been like a decade and half since they've been obsolete, unless you grew up in the late 90's. That's when CD players were starting to become more common place. I've got all the gear to rip that tape. I'm seeing Deftones on the 24th (next Wed).. If they are still selling them I'll do it.

dude, the fact that deftones think in apply mistery to their music, make me fall in love everyday, cassette are great, they add some rawness perfect to the deftones vibe.
