Listened again this morning. I really can't understand why some people don't really like the song that much as it sounds like a right monster to me. I feel like there's more of their old feeling in these new songs (especially Tempest) which DE missed.

I can understand how some ppl aren't liking the song.
Just this morning I wanted to write how much I hated Tempest and my disappointment in the band .......................... I'm glad I didn't cos now I'm loving it!
Then I realized it's the same every time a new album is released - I sulked for days when Diamond Eyes was released, only to realize days later what a great album it is.
I know why too - because they push boundaries with each album without resorting to gimmicks (i.e. Lincoln Park) and while still retaining that core sound that makes them such a special band to follow!

I don't like that album cover either. I dont get any deftones vibes of it. it's just boring. I would rather have the Leathers or Tempest cover art as the Koi No Yokan cover.

I'd agree that Tempest's lyrics aren't really relatable. That's my beef with "concept" albums and songs, you sacrifice sincerity for theme.
Leathers on the other hand is very relatable in my opinion. And it makes for a great encouraging track for when you wanna get pumped up. Love the lyrics.

Hmm, not as great as Leathers, but still a very good song. Loving the whole laid-back vibe I get from it. Something tells me a majority of KNY will be very chilled. I don't mind Deftones' softer side, either.

What ruined Leathers for me was that I read the lyrics first before I heard the track. I never do that with Deftones. I don't even like to read the lyrics to any of their songs I just like listening.

Yeah i'm the same, well, with Deftones anyway. I usually pre-order physical & still download digital as well

Yeah I cant see how anyone would have a problem with this cover. Visually appealing and intentionally vague
