I must say, I don't think I recall a single specific Deftones song that Tempest was compared to which is surprising especially on here since it's usually the first thing people do on here.  Must be a pretty different song for them.

...which is the reason the label picked it as a single. gain new fans. and even attract ppl who have heard deftones before but didn't think much of it, but this is a trick from the label to say "well what about this one?"

Initially I first heard Deftones back in 2003 sometime when their self titled album came out, but I didn't like it much besides a few songs and never really listened to it ever again. Lately I have grown bored with the same old music I have been listening to.... and anyways I was hangin' out on a message board I frequent and someone was discussing the new song 'Leathers' that came out a few days ago and I gave it a listen and enjoyed it quite a bit. As I was talking with some of those people the song 'Tempest' was released and I checked it out immediately and I absolutely love it. I don't own any of their albums currently, but I am hoping to pick some up soon.

Yup.  I like the SNW font better than the DE font even though DE font is just a more bold version of SNW font.

I'd like the SNW font and the old style (no idea what the font is) included in the booklet as well. I'm a massive nerd when it comes to how the back cover looks with the track names too.

One day I google for something Deftones-related in Google and after a long time saw all the covers and artwork material on one page. And I was like 'dude, Deftones has a pretty great taste for visuals'. I think they will not fail us

Not really digging the lyrics too much dungeons and dragons fantasy type shit especially when he is talking about ancients and stuff I can't relate to the lyrics at all makes me feel like I am just listening I don't feel included if that makes any sense lol

Nah probably said it wrong but as soon as I hear the lyrics I feel separated from the song I can't relate to it it just has no bearing to everyday life,where as their other songs are quite vague and abstract and the listener can take their own meaning from it whether it be about a break up or someone dying the song can mean more to you but as soon as they start talk about ancients and stuff it just becomes another song you don't feel as if it was about a situation you've been through or are experiencing ,these are just my opinions though if you like it good for you.
