I think, though we all have preferences in terms of music, vocals, lyrics, etc., certain things fit different songs. For example, I love his voice and how he sings in MX (maybe the album in general, but the chorus of MX is what stands out in particular), but that voice wouldnt necessarily fit on a simplistic, optimistic album like DE, if that makes sense. So maybe we will hear the ethereal sound, the unusual melodies, the cryptic lyrics, etc., just that it's not on the songs we've heard (or not on the two live songs we've heard but the live versions).

Yes, Tempest is good, they build the intro perfectly, especially the breakdown part was mindblowing, but the chorus, its reminded me of KoRn's first album without Head, you know? The guitar chord on chorus is pretty standard, like most of rock bands out there.. i dont expecting that, honestly..

But i had a feeling Koi No Yokan will be outstanding

i am talking about when i searched google with the search "deftones tempest mp3 download" the page i downloaded it off was using that photo. that is all i am pointing out.

Me too! I also download the digital copy first to make sure I can listen to it on day one. Who knows, physical orders can always be late for some reason.

Edit: Well, not always, obviously. To be honest, I just did this back in '10 when DE came out...
