About Tempest... after the first listen i got the same feeling that i got when i listened to Diamond Eyes (the song) for the very first time... "Its different... but different in a way i don't really enjoy too much"... maybe i need a few more listens, anyways...

This sound is absolutely fuckin' sick. It's like a mix between many of their albums, and yes his voice is smooth and old school here. And that scream!

What?  Since when were Deftones grunge?  Anyways, for now I'm trying to hold out on listening to this song until I have the whole album but you guys are already making it very difficult.  I must say I'm pleasantly surprised you seem to be liking this Vesanic.  Are you sure it's not just "newness exciteness"? 

Also, what the heck, since when are singles over 6 minutes long?  Really has me excited and all the more not wanting to hear it yet.

those pictures of the desert that were posted on twitter some time ago would fit as a video to this song. everyone in the band should wear cowboy hats and buffalo skull necklaces. why not some scenes of them riding horses on a dry land filled with rattlesnakes? and instead of chino's scream he should yell "yeehaw" ?

yeah its kind of a post-grunge feel... its definitely starting to grow on me more and more
