For reals...if it leaks, you'd be better off just checking leak sites first. Even if I had the leak, I'd want to have it for myself for a while before sharing. word.

Anyways, I read some people saying Stephen isn't using 8 string on Leathers.  Is this true?  It sounds like he's using 8 string to me.

He is definitively using an 8-strings guitar, maybe some people came to that conclusion because you cant clearly hear the low-end sound of the guitar because Stef is playing the heavy riffing part (verse) with the palm-muted technique. Im almost sure that he plays the 8th string open during the verse... cant be lower than that.

Plus Deftones "mixing style" is kind of weird in some songs, i mean both guitars (Chino and Stef) are almost equally panned on both channels (right and left) so is not possible to hear one guitar at a time, on top of that you have Sergio's bass that is really close to the frequency range of Stef's 8th string... and then Chino comes in with his down tuned. So is a whole mess of low-end sounds fighting for some free space on the mix.

Im sure that mixing Deftones' music is pretty challenging for most sound engineers.

PS Im not a sound engineer BTW... i just like this things.

It was ME who said it was about "coming out" and I still stand by my opinion/interpretation. W00000!" when you don't have a well-thought-out opinion of your own to counter what I said is just...lame. And the song probably could mean a million different things (and I could be dead wrong), I'm not ruling them all out but I still feel that the song title, the lyrics and the fact that it was dedicated to Rob Halford by the person who wrote the lyrics all point to the most logical conclusion, which in my mind at least, is about "coming out".
