Koi No Yokan thread

I've always hoped for a proper deluxe edition release from Deftones. They should take a page from Coheed and Cambria's book. That band always has the coolest deluxe packages and they make really cool display pieces. Deftones have the vinyl box set but something else would be cool for collectors sake. I'm fine with the regular CD release though as long as the art is interesting. DE really lacked in that department. Also when they Koi No Yokan vinyl comes out that'll be great to have for collecting or displaying.

C&C has a whole different approach to what they do, they certainly build anything about the comics, even their music is partially played the way to suit the comics, the artwork support is something they really have above most if not any band. They made the sacrifices but it worked out for them. They're entitled to whatever they do because of a huge fanbase, they're pretty similar to deftones but differences are especially in management and connections. Defs does have a fanbase that likes artworks tho but without connection in between them or the albums, C&C has anything wrapped around that story of the comics. You can't compare apples and pines, the B-Sides&Rarities seemed like they tried but the level they reached with it is very much different from the huge story around the Deluxe. It isn't deftones strength to come up with connective ideas they even have problems to find titles to their songs sometimes,  the whole working titles that remained indicate they either just name it after girls(Mx, Melanie, Rosemary), 80s Horror Movies(976-EVIL, Poltergeist), or what they experimented with in their playstyle or Equipment(Dazzled, Finger of Death, CMND/CTRL, Pink Cellphone), it used to work better for them with the titles.

One thing I hope for with the vinyl,is if its a double lp they put it in a freakin gatefold.I thought the the snw vinyl was just thrown together.aww fuck it lets just throw both lps in the same jacket.that really pisted me off.I never seen a double lp before that wasn't a gatefold,and I just thought that was a cheap and dick move.I know this issue was probally unforseeen by the tones themselves but warner should no better.
And damn no I tunes bonus tracks.throw on the import or on some singels or a bonus disc.i hate having lossy tracks mixed with lossless.plus I like having physical copies.

Warners is notorious for putting double LP's in single jackets, great way to get severe ring wear. I would like to see KNY with a decent gatefold and better artwork. DE felt rushed and slapped together.

This could actually be true. Adding to this are the lyrics (which are fairly straightforward and seem to be about coming out of the closet) and the fact that the song is titled "Leathers". So Deftones are Judas Priest fans, huh? That's pretty awesome. \m/

Isn't that part "...time to LET", - "let" being the screamed word?

Obviously it sounds awesome but it's funny that it's the word "let" that is screamed lol.
