Awesome!!!!, i'll listen to this song till my ears bleed, im totally digging this song, if u want comparisons (guitar wise)

Intro = Meshuggah - Break those bones
Verse = Deftones - Prince (bassnectar remix)
Chorus =  Not sure, sounds pretty original to me
Interlude = Meshuggah riffing for sure

IMHO Leathers = SNW feeling with DE sounds.

didn't like it the intro was very nice but after chino kicked in it went downhill, specially in the chorus way way commercial. i know they're a commercial band but they maintained their own unique sound, this just sounds like everything else that's out there.

Maybe it's not the most original sounding thing ever, but because it's Deftones doing it, it sounds better than anything else halfway similar. That is, if you're a fan of the band....

The tempo changes are sick in this song. I like chino's vocals in the verses and the post chorus, but I'd have to agree with some of you. I dont care for the way he sings the chorus, it sounds too.. I dont know yet. Need more listens.

Does this song lyrically remind anyone else of Around the Fur? Namely the interview with Chino explaining the album title (and Leathers singing of shedding skin). Leathers being another fashion item, like fur, and how it is superficial and ugly? Not bitching, the intro is spacey/eerie, Steph blindsides us with his guitar, and Chino's voice is on point. this is the best the Deftones have sounded since S/T (almost a decade)!

I know its on the bsides and rarities dvd if your'e talking about the part where he says "the name of the new record is around the fur its a metaphor of some sorts, fur on the outside being beautiful and soft but inside its really dead skin"

The chorus reminds me of early Saosin...a lot of emo/metalcore/whatever bands do that same melody (the part where hes like "Everything inside show" and "Everything outside you") in the chorus. Don't know if I love this song yet...Love the intro...wish it went more of that route. I just feel like its just "chug chug chug" and then Chino's vocals too loud or something. I don't know..going to listen to it some more.
