Playhouse

wayyyyy more diamond eyes than SNW

beaverwithfishyshoes

It sounds like Jared Letbro, the most mad alt man in the universe. We can never be so alt, so we can never steal his chorus.

I hope there isn't going to be so much thick chuggy guitar on this as DE.  More SNW melodies please.

that intro threw me off!! I was expecting mid-tempoi-sh spacey jam,. BUT DAMN!!

You know, it's not even the melody of the chorus that I dislike. I just don't like how high-pitched Chino's voice is during it. Still, it's a good song. Not their best, but good.

Rosemary > Poltergeist > Leathers

Playhouse

the chorus would be sick without that 'everything outside you" line. that self titled sound will not come back by the way

lol

Drop-Dead

The strangest Deftones song ever, it sounds nothing like them, but know what?...I'm diggin it!

I'd say there are a few songs on DE that are just as good if not better.

As much as I'm enjoying this song, one thing does concern me about it: the chorus.  The chorus is definitely better here than on the song Diamond Eyes, but it's a little too similar in that it's so very commercial.  I quite enjoy the chorus, I just REALLY hope there will be a lot of variation in the choruses of KNY and there's not many like this one.

this chorus is hell not as catchy. thats the problem, its doesn't have the memorability the term "HOOK" implies. also the intro; just a half-step thing.. pretty dull.

I like the lyrics of this song.  I expected it to be more ambiguous and vague but this is nice.

And I would agree with Inkblades that Poltergeist is better chorus-wise, but the rest?  Leathers owns Poltergeist otherwise, going by the live version anyway.

That's because it largely does indeed sound like Deftones.  It's only the chorus that's throwing you off.

People jus like to buzz. Ytube, Soundclouds... 95% is like "whoooo the greatestes fing EVA!!" ... like... ssyyeaahhh.... prob same reactions if it was a Cherry Waves like track.. people jus want to post shit on their Twitters and Cuntbooks

Ok let's not go overboard.  It's better than DE chorus but yeah, hopefully most of the other choruses on the album are more Deftones.

whats a "more Deftones" chorus?

Playhouse

actually its growing on me now

nineteen

The chorus reinforces the verse for me so in that respect, the verse becomes the chorus. Might not have been intentional but if it was, it's good.

i wanna take that intro and make sweet sweet love to it. get it pregnant, and the grow old with it. I'm in love with it!

RollerDerby

I have a feeling Poltergeist is going to be much more aggressive than this song when we finally hear the studio version.

This.

I like how it flows right into and out of the chorus

That's the problem, DE chorus is even more commercial and poppy sounding.
