I like Back to School. It's a fun, punky song. Of course it's not even in the same stratosphere as Pink Maggit, but I still enjoy it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, I just prefer the original version. I feel Back to School didn't belong on that album.

I'm listening to the new Projected "Human" album from the 'supergroup' of Sevendust and Creed members. It's pretty good so far- basically mostly all like slower Sevendust songs..

And you are in the wrong thread, my friend.

No I'm not. Someone else stated what they were listening to (happened to be deftones) in the meantime, so I did the same. There's plenty of posts in here not about the thread subject, so chill out.

it wasn't on the first 3 versions that were released (black+red+gray) it was added later. but don't believe the talk that they had to re-write pink maggit to a rap version later on, back to school rap version was on the leak on april 2000, just that it was slightly slower. (mini maggit)

I truly hope that Leathers will be an aggressive song.

I think Rocket Skates came out like 4 am or something where I'm at, so...we're probably in for a loooong wait, my friends.

*Sigh* I suck. I'll have heard two studio songs by the time the album comes out, and two live songs. That could ruin it. But then again, I think we can agree that wen we first heard Rocket Skates, the studio version, it was a lot different to the live one we'd seen. So...eh.

Same here -well I love deftones the most when it's a nice blend of softer and harder, like most songs (ATF, Rickets, MOS, most of WP, etc etc etc)....

I am aware of that. I just don't understand why it was ever on the album. Kinda overkill having two songs that were. Fundamentally the same.

i would guess to sell the whole record to those who weren't familiar with deftones but who enjoyed bts. but yeah, it would ruin the wp journey to start off the record with it. glad i don't have that version

asshole

I skipped work just to hear this...lol..

I wish I could find an original copy. The BTS EP is pretty darn good, they should have just kept it how it was.

you skipped work based on maybe being able to listen to a new Deftones song a few hours before you maybe would get to listen to it otherwise?

that borders on retardation, I'm afraid.
pray nightfall release me
then i could wander, wander to deep sleep

Minerva is such a 'nothing' song. Good job the rest of Deftones' self titled album makes up for it.

I dig that song as well, but it's definitely not a stand out track.
