I'm kinda confused here. Are ppl really thinking that Deftones need to use old songs instead of making new music? What would be the reason? Do they suck at making music now or something? There wouldnt be any point, it goes against how they make music and see music to dig something up frm wen they were in a different mindset and then use it for an album yrs later. Not to mention, they wouldnt even have the common sense to completely change the name so as not to make fans suspicious? Then there's also the fact that Chino, Abe, Stephen, Frank and Sergio all have to be the biggest assholes in existence to disrespect their close friend by saying "Oh yeah, Sergio wrote this" wen in reality it was Chi.

That's not possible to tune a 6 string down that low, I'm pretty sure Chino plays in Drop C or something. I wonder if someone can verify this...

He plays in C and D. You can tune a 6 string as low as you want, you'll just lose the high end. It's just not practical in most cases.

Someone said that for Rosemary Chino was using Drop A# (really low for a 6 strings) and i can confirm it is true... this means he went 1 step down from Drop C, i know this because i tabbed Rosemary and saw the live performances and the only way to play the song the same way Chino plays it is by using Drop A#. And Stef is using Standard F (he went another half step down)

I don't really think Tempest is related to Eros nor do I want it to be. 

I am looking forward to the Chino playing on this album.  He adds some great melodies.  Didn't he do Hole in the Earth?

imho the band think "trempest" is a very very cool songtitle so they wanna use it on the next album, modified it into "tempest" and they dont care if it was a tentative songtitle for eros. i believe its a different material with "trempest". yes, just because they can.

i heard a little stoner rock, or southern rock or whatever on rosemary, i hope they did a southern rock album with KNY

How the hell can you tune a 6 string down that low and still have some tension in the strings? Is he using a baritone guitar or something? The lowest I've ever bothered tuning a 6 in is B and that was pretty ridiculous, even with heavy gauge strings...
