Reason  #1,972 they are more superior :)

Green day used to be my favorite band. Then 120 min debuted my own summer and my whole life changed

New Review out
4.5/5

" They started out mixing heavy metal aggression from Stephen Carpenter's crunchy, down-tuned, 7-string guitars with vocalist Chino Moreno's gutturally charismatic hip-hop-style vocals."

What??? Steph didnt pick up a 7-String until the S/T album.. They used 6-String guitars on Adrenaline/ATF/White Pony, and the first album was in standard tuning and progressively dropped by a half step down until he used the 7-String. I completely lost faith in this review after I read that. Maybe its just because hes not a guitar player but do some fucking research.

I'm starting to hear the

"I left you for dead,
and you knew that you'd be back"

part of Poltergeist instead of "I let you pretend". That would also link the title to the song, but it just sounds weird hearing him say that..

My take is...

I left you for dead
but you know the truth is that
i love you to death
like you love this plain (place?)

the last part is "like you love this game"

there was nothing pop about de except for the title track

if this is your definition of pop then you need a serious reality check.

i keep seeing people shoot down anyone who mentions pop music anywhere near a sentence with deftones in it and i feel i should point out that pop music does have a fairly broad definition depending on how much you've studied music.

Quote from:  "Pop Music" on Wikipedia...there are core elements which define pop. Such include generally short-to-medium length songs, written in a basic format (often the verse-chorus structure), as well as the common employment of repeated choruses, melodic tunes, and catchy hooks.

so, you know, some of their music is definitely written with more of a pop structure to it. diamond eyes, for instance. it's not necessarily the direct comparison to one direction everyone's treating it as. just that some of their music is not as off the beaten track as the rest.
we could be two straight lines in a crooked world.

As i understand things pop=popular

Now are you telling me KNY wont get into any kind of chart once released?

that first line sounds like it could be "i let you pretend."
fits with the "but you know the truth is that" bit...
