I would hate it if Deftones released/rehashed the same album over and over again. That is the reason they still give me goosebumps. Different sounds, same Deftones.

lot of ppl seem happy just as long as chino sings to some electric guitars

In a way you've hit the nail on the head, the fact that I am a fan of everything they have put out is what makes me a dedicated fan. There's something about pretty much all the music they write which  interests me, in a variety of ways whether its aggressive or beautiful. That's not me just being a blind listener that just accepts anything, plenty of my favourite bands have disappointed me at some stage. It's rare that a band has kept my attention for this long and continues to impress me. So yeah if its Chino singing to some electric guitars, which it is much more than, I'm happy if they are continuing to make music in any shape or form, because its unique. I think we somewhat take for granted that we are lucky Deftones is even around now after Chi's accident. KNY is a fucking blessing.

1. "Romantic Dreams" sounds awesome, but a little familiar. Unfortunately this 90s atrocity popped into my head when I heard it The Fly's - Got you where I want you
2. I love the way "Poltergeist" sounds. It really loses its best qualities live.
3. "Gauze" sounds fucking bad ass.
4. "Rosemary" is, as usual, the shit.
5. "Goon Squad" sounds really unusual for a Deftones song which is refreshing.

The rest was pretty meh.

"Entombed" gives me kind of an "Ever" vibe towards the end of the clip and its not bad. "Graphic Nature" is a little stupid in terms of Chinos vocal direction. "What Happened To You" sounds like "Entombed" LOL. "Swerve City" doesn't really get my goat as it sounds like an ass ton of Nick's input and also kind of reminds me of Stones Temple Pilots. "Leathers" and "Tempest" are as usual meh.

Fuck copyright. Google and youtube is a joke. The employees are full of shit.

SomeOf

Swerve City uff... not so bad/not so good
Romantic Dreams hate it
Leathers hate it
Poltergeist "ok"...
Entombed I love this one, my favorite
Graphic Nature not so bad
Tempest good one
Gauze I like it
Rosemary uff... boooooooring
Goon Squad uff... not so bad/not so good
What Happened To You nice feeling for this one

The most important problem in this record is Chino's vocal.
Always the same notes. Always the same kind of singing style. Always the same chorus...
... Especially, lots of notes that he can't even hit live.

The entire production of the album (instru+vocals) is weak, next to Terry Date's stuff and it's a whole new sound that we have here.

I'm not saying that the album is going to be bad... I believe I'm going to love a lot of things in it, but I can't tell that it's not a disappointment.
The other bad point is that every song has a pop chorus...

I need me some poltergeist. Had that melody stuck in my dome since Coming out of lucid dream.I'm fiending  :o I'm getting an ATF vibe from the studio version of this track. A real kick back driving at night feel. I think i'm in love

i have quite diff opinions on the tracks

Swerve City sounds kinda old school
Romantic Dreams deftones/janes addiction ;)
Leathers solid
Poltergeist reminds me of Ad/ATF ... love it.
Entombed WP/snw style sounds sweet
Graphic Nature love this shit
Tempest i'm a fan
Gauze good feelings about this one
Rosemary not as big a fan as everyone else... still a sweet song
Goon Squad .. sounds like a killer
What Happened To You this sounds wicked

Chef Royardee is going to be on a leave of absence for a couple days. Big Roy has some business to attend to. If there's a Roy, there's a way.

.    It's sounding like we're getting another Deftones album with a variety of sounds, which I've been waiting for a while. Loved diamond eyes and the fact it sounded as a whole cohesively. However, from the comments on here are getting my hopes up for a Wp/ATF/SNW feel with different flavors on the record. Those deftones bangers. Definitely pumped for this record

This is pretty much the same for me, The songs i am most interested in hearing is Entombed and What happened to you? they have quite a new sound to them interesting to see what the full tracks are like, just 4 days left now

M1GHTY M4VS

Swerve City - reminds me of "the years" with stef
Romantic Dreams - not so much of a fan, doesn't seem so outstanding.
Leathers - alright but not hyper like it was at the beginning.
Poltergeist - probably one of the best on the record, unfortunately the singing seems weird will grow over time I think.
Entombed - probably better than what the 30 second snippet overall.
Graphic Nature - such a deep darkish feeling, seems to be my favourite on this record.
Tempest - great better than leathers top 4 on this eventually.
Gauze - gonna be decent in full probably.
Rosemary - indeed not as big a fan as everyone else... still a sweet song, it's spacey but predictable.
Goon Squad - again darkish need to hear full to judge it appropiate.
What Happened To You - lovely Outro Song better than TPID.

Mothman

You move like I want to.
