Any way to listen to these on an iphone?  It's my only means on internet access this weekend.

2 more hourss!!!

I have no idea mate sorry :/

No worries.  We're close enough to getting the album now I can wait.  I am currious to hear them though.  So how are the guitars?  Heavy 8 string tuning, 6 string or a mix?

To me, this album sounds like Team Sleep went heavy.
The sky is falling down
The night is calling you
A star is burning out
The sky belongs to you

What Happened to You? <3

I'm really getting a 90's retro feel from these samples man. Not 90's Deftones. . . but like some unknown band.
I was literally going to say the same thing. I hear a big early/good Smashing Pumpkins influence in some of the less aggressive songs... honestly, that Romantic Dreams chorus sounds straight off of Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie. Maybe dash in a bit of Failure and My Bloody Valentine and you get the idea. Also, sort of in keeping with the 90s theme, a lot of these sound very much like summer jams.

Anyone else notice the melodic parallel between the choruses in Swerve and WHTY? No idea whether it's intentional, but it almost seems like the album coming around full circle.

Pndi

it definitely has a "futuristic, spacey" sound like they were saying in some interview earlier this year

I think there's going to be alot of negative feedback from ATF and S/T purists lol

i don't know...deftones haven't put out something like those records in 9 years, so very few of those who follows deftones expect anything like this ever again.deftones will never sound as awesome as their first four records, we just have to find a gem or two or some parts in songs in this new brighter more commercial sounding deftones to enjoy

jciraheta

its like a combination of nirvana, white pony , DE, SNW, ..team sleep and Crosses  :p

deftoner664

Really happy to hear some of you say you feel a team sleep vibe. I really got that from the outro of Rosemary, so I hope to hear a bit more of that throughout the album.

Chinos vocals sound better than DE,it's like he's not just following the instrumentals it sounds like he's floating on top

Totally agree! Some of his melodies on this album are outstanding! My personal opinion is that this record (judging on 30 second clips) is going to be much much better than diamond eyes.

Also, Vega from what I hear has really found his place in the band on this record, I love what I am hearing on swerve city.

RollerDerby

This has SNW and a more refined DE sound to it. Swerve City really gives me a 90s alternative chill feeling.

nineteen

Totally an 80s vision of the future vibe. Retro-futuristic!
