Excuse me for saying, but Rosemary may be one of the best Deftones' songs I've ever heard. I'm hypnotized by how incredible it is (I've only listened to the live version, and the cassette rip once. It didn't take much to convince me. lol)

Usually it takes me about 10 spins to get my bearings on a song and Tempest hit me this morning.  Song is fucking awesome and much better than Leathers!   I can tell Rosemary has a lot of potential, but I just downloaded it on my ipod this morning so I've had limited time with it.  The outro to Rosemary is fucking awesome! 

So far

1) Tempest
2) Poltergeist
3) Rosemary
4) Leathers

Non of them have disappointed

I never got that i feeling from tempest i can't see why some people love it so much,its a solid song but compared to the others it seemed like it is too much of a radio single style song like a lot of the songs on DE i find it super forgettable it never gets stuck in my head like the others especially rosemary that is just stunning its like a modern version of Change.

I can see why if you are not a fan of DE you wouldn't like Tempest.   I feel that way with Leathers, decent song but I can see my self skipping it a lot.

the only song ive heard so far on the radio is leathers .. and its not even a single.. but i feel like it shouldve been since it sounds so radio friendly .. but oh well .. we all know swerve city shouldve been the single so i guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes..

btw my favorites so far are

1) rosemary 2) poltergeist 3) leathers 4) tempest ... i love them all but we'll see how theylle compete against the other 7 umheard songs

fucking hell the length doesn't matter don't be a dickhead that's why i said style, its sounds like it was designed to be a single its not unorthodox or experimental in anyway seems like its designed as a safe bet to please the masses why do you think the record company chose for that as the first single ,its for that exact reason.

It's great everyone has such differing opinions on Deftones, shows how they have so many elements which appeal to different people. I would be really happy with anything nearly as good as Hexagram.

The only one I think is weak is leathers.  The other 3 are solid.  Tempest is pretty straight forward and simple but that guitar tone in the verses is just sick.

I agree Ves, i think no one has Poltergeist. Nobody has it. Nobody uploaded it cause it doesnt exist.
The song you see at that website is probably a good version of live perform.
Or else we could have it in  day one.

Just listen the everysong they gave you.
If you dont wanna get bore of it as Rocket Skates did cause of overplayed, then just listen the songs ONCE a day.
Not listening them is nothing but torturing yourself.
