they knew what they did when they named the album. "koi no yokan" is pretty much how I feel about it at this point  ;D

They should have named it "download no yokan't" and put Yoda on the cover.

heh, classic.
pray nightfall release me
then i could wander, wander to deep sleep

Okay I had only ever seen the Troubadour version of Poltergeist and just watched the most recent video posted. Did Chino change some parts?

Deftones - Headup (Live @ Area4 Festival, Germany 21.08.2009) 10/14
2nd comment down. Channel looks a little cheap though.

I remember reading the same comment on another Deftones video... It can't be that one, I've never watched it.

Def no songs like pink cellphone or lucky you which i happen to love btw. There are some softer songs tho. Rosemary is goddamn incredible, as is Romantic Dreams, Swerve City, What Happened to You?, Tempest and Graphic Nature. In hindsight i wish i would have taken more of the album in, but given the circumstances (about 5 people laughing, talking) it was kinda hard. Upon first listen KNY was incredible.

One silly question I have for you: Is there still plenty of screaming on the record or has that been restrained more?

Pretty good question actually. I hope Romantic Dreams is similar to WGTB vocally .. or at least one song off the album..

The fact that someone who seems way more critical than I (I'm not at all, I love almost everything they do) has great things to say about the album for the most part is awesome. Great that it seems that they actually have gone all-out in being more experimental and switching things up and etc.

To be honest, I'm way more excited about this album than DE (maybe because the music itself is better, or maybe because more time has past of me being a fan), but I'm not as impatient for a leak. Yeah, I wanna listen to it right now, but I'm not bothered much about hearing a leak. I'll listen to it wen I'm able to; if that's earlier than the release date then cool, but I'm not anticipating it daily. Which is weird for me.

Must be nice.  I'd cut someone's fucking head off for a leak right now.  >:(

I don't have a record player, unfortunately. Anyway, it would be cool to have it just for collecting's sake. I even bought a White Pony LP a while ago

yes he did. the songs have changed from performance to performance, since vocal arrangement to instrumental parts. to fit what sounds the better.

Poltergeist is ridiculously amazing to me! That bass line is murderous and Abe just lights it up so well here. it's easily my favorite right now...can't wait to hear it live next wk and from the studio now. Love that shiiiit

I love it too. In fact, when I saw it wasn't the opening track anymore it kinda disappointed me. Think I already imagined that rythm at the very beginning.
You move like I want to.

I love the dynamics in Poltergeist but I really don't like the vocals. I don't know how it'll sound on the record, but they're weak when played live, to me.

maybe like combat or cmnd/ctrl. I hope it'll be good on the record.
