Not to bitch or anything ... but the two songs released are good, solid songs ... but i have to admit the initial excitement i have before a record is gone .. its clear that the sound will be Diamond Eyes part 2 , it lacks that extra mystic or Darkness that i usually love about them. I know this has been said before . But yeah they sort of sound like a good alternative rock/metal band .. its sounds good but it lack substance . Thats just my opinion i am sharing.

I'd say that only chino sounds DE part 2, but Tempest prooves me that the rest of the band sounds nothing like it. Frank's work on the intros, outros, the fact that it's 6 fuckin minute long and Idk, this song makes me think about something (it can be solid or abstract) moving forward that can't be stopped (steff's riff), something I haven't felt since lifter (favorite song off adrenaline)

And I don't know what it is if it's not mystic

The cover is amazing as are the songs. Frank adds a lot of elements especially on Leathers. I don't see the problem here.

I Loved the cover, might be my favourite deftones artwork since around the fur. I'd love it to have it hanging on my living room.

Oh, and I don't dig Tempest that much to be honest, it's quite a bad single choice for a new deftones record...
but I'm really fond of Leathers.

yeah i miss the old font too, i mean i like this better than the owl on DE but i dont know thes on "object" that is is uually prevalent in 'Tones covers.

The Diamond Eyes cover is lame - anything would have been an improvement on that.

Loving the new songs, Leathers and Rosemary especially.

I reckon we can expect more release info within the next week - i.e. formats, bonus cover songs, etc.

I like the cover. Looks like it was taken in a bar or club, a place where you might meet the love of your life which the the phrase Koi No Yokan kind of suggests. I like photo's that allow you to interpret stuff in so many different ways and Deftones are no strangers to that.
