I can't imagine jumping around and screaming my head off at that age. I highly doubt that's going to be happening. But in a way, I feel like our music is maturing. I could imagine playing the songs on this record in ten years.

I'm all for seeing 50 year old Chino belting out Leathers and Poltergeist. Oh man..

I prefer the particular creative period of SNW to their other albums.  I don't care what anyone says, it is their most atmospheric and spacey album and that includes WP and KNY.  Sounds way spacier than WP.

This.

If nothing else, I find SNW to be their most atmospheric, as well as their darkest. Definitely the weirdest of all their albums. It took me years to get my head around it and appreciate it as the album it is and should be heard as. It doesn't sound like any of their other albums or any other album, period.

My only wish is that they'd have included Finger of Death in the tracklisting.
Yeah SNW has some of my favourite songs on it the only reason it isn't my favourite album is because it lacked consistency
It's not that lacking in consistency.  Pink Cellphone is the only bad song on it, Mein is weak and that's about it.
Rats seemed forced and the instrumentals weren't great, Rapture had the same problem as Rats even though it was a bit better,Mein was ruined by serj i like his voice but just not in that song,Konami Code was all-right but it was bit long considering it didn't really change from beginning to end it just feels like a long interlude and Pink Cellphone we'l you know lol but the rest is pretty amazing love Combat,Commanche,Xerxes and the others, this is all just opinion BTW

I have purposely not listened to KNY for the past 3 days so it's somewhat fresh when I pick up a copy tomorrow. Excited!

brian.

I feel like I have always liked White Pony less than everyone else. I like it a lot, but Self Titled and Saturday Night Wrist connect with me a lot more. I really have enjoyed KNY, though, my favorites at the moment are Swerve City, Gauze, Entombed, and Poltergeist.

My ranking would probably be:

S/T
SNW
DE
KNY
ATF
WP
Adrenaline

And even that was hard to make, it's hard to put in some kind of order.

Still loving this album immensely.  I've only been listening to it once a day (at night) so I don't wear it out.  KNY is made for nighttime.  The track listing is perfect.  Pushing it's way to the top of my favourite Deftones albums in the process.

ominousnimbus

1. KNY
2. WP
3. DE
4. S/T
5. ATF
6. SNW
7. Adrenaline

Now that the album is released everywhere (just bought my first copy), the Tempest video should be released any day now.

It's hard to rank greatness against greatness.

My list changes quite a bit....

1. ATF
2. KNY
3. Adrenaline
4. DE
5. S/T
6. WP
7. SNW

Exactly. The list I made could change tomorrow depending on the mood that I'm in.
