So I was at the show last night in Baltimore. It was fucking insane, they were so good. Just as good, or better, than any of the many times I've seen them over the years. You know, even though their studio material is not as good as their older work, their live performances have just been getting better and better (sound-wise).

Anyway, yeah, when ATF came on I lost it. Wasn't expecting it at all. I was expecting MX, which for me is just okay. But ATF, the song, is one of my favorites. Great show, all around. The Gore tracks were phenomenal, by the way.

Really not trying to be picky, but I would KILL to hear Geometric Headdress on Saturday. By far my favorite Gore song.

Excited to hear Acid Hologram - from watching those live videos, the part where Chino gets real creepy and sings all low, sounds amazing.

nice set list

Agreed... I like the vibe of this set list. I was hoping they would do more of their chill songs, "epic" songs on this tour and they have fulfilled my wishes. If only Battle-Axe could make it on there >__<
..Yeah don't go there,

I let you get to me

yeah yeah.

Did Chino forget the lyrics to Rickets? lol

Apparently they played Hearts/Wires again, which brings it up to four Gore songs played in one show. Nice.

I hope to see Rubicon, (L)MIRL, Acid, heart/wires. Gore would be a plus, not interested in Tempest for the Canada show.

JayPayton saying something negative about Deftones??? Whaaaat? So unexpected. Also, you're the guy who calls Deftones fans posers and says they prefer their mainstream stuff, so...surely if most people there are hipster posers, the new songs would be unfamiliar and unwelcome to them, which would be a good thing for REAL HARDCORE NON-DIAMOND-EYES-LIKING Deftones fans?

I saw them play P/T and Rubicon in London, so for me, the four they're playing now would all be new, plus (L)MIRL and H/W are some of my favourites (add in Geometric Headdress, haha). Tempest, I'm pretty sure I've seen before, but if not...eh, I could live without it being played if it meant other songs getting a turn. Hopefully you get at least most of the songs on your list, if not all :)

Imagine that. A 20+ year old band plays new material, crowd doesn't know it. It's almost like that happens.... everywhere, all the time.

Now that I think of it, it's right around the corner. What a dream come true.

Philly show was great. Chino's voice sounds much better when you are there as opposed to listening to someone's Instagram video. I'm sure all of you know that.

Setlist was shorter. 20 songs as opposed to 21-22 songs from previous shows. Hearing the stuff from Gore was great. Beauty School is one of my all time faves so I'm glad they played it. (My wife, who isn't really a Deftones fan, loves that song and she came with us so it was nice to have her freak out for a second. Haha.)

MX was a highlight for me. Would've really loved for them to keep WHTY on the setlist.

That was my 44th Deftones show. Thinking of retiring at 50 shows, I just hope they come around again soon.

MX was a highlight for me too, one of my favourite Deftones songs. Dude, 44? Wow. When did you first see them? I've only seen them four times, I'll be lucky if I get to ten, haha.

Love how the new songs sound.

Inkblades

Hmmm, the synths on Acid Hologram live sound similar at times to In the House of Flies.

Love how the new songs sound.

First time was in 95 with Rob Zombie and Pantera, then they were around Philly a lot towards the end of 96. Saw them open for 311 in September, then they played a free show at a record store in Philly, then they played their own show at a smaller venue in November.
