PALMS [new Chino Moreno side project]

So, I was just in a bookstore and read about the little studio report of Palms in Decibel Magazine. Nothing too informative, but here's what it said:

- There will be six songs.
- Album will be fifty minutes total. So, these songs will obviously be lengthy.
- Harris described the album as not just being Chino singing over Isis. He said it's not super heavy, but he wouldn't describe it as "pop" music, either. However, he did say it was closer to pop music than anything else he has ever done. Take that how you will.

They seriously couldnt just go "ok these songs are as long as an episode of robot chicken. Maybe we should take out some parts of the songs and make them into new ones and make the whole song smaller..." *looks at each other* "NAAAHHH"

Progress is once again underway with the upcoming debut release from Palms. The highly-anticipated outfit, who feature ex-members of Isis and Deftones' Chino Moreno, are currently laying down vocals. Band drummer Aaron Harris checked in with the following brief update on that and more via his website.

"This week, I'm in the studio with Chino working on vocals for our debut Palms record. It's sounding really great and we're all psyched. I'm just going to leave it at that and stay focused. Sorry to tease."
