^^ Agree with Elite... But I'd say Finger of Death(Buffalo) or WGTB...

When Girls Telephone Boys, hands down. Out of every song which ive ever heard from Deftones, I think that one affected me the most. It completely immerses you because it just sounds so almost creepy from the lyrics and intense.

For me:

1. Bloody Cape
2. Teething
3. Headup
4. Korea
5. When Girls Telephone Boys

Well Steph has proclaimed Sinatra to be the heaviest song they've ever done.
any thoughts?

Well, Steph said that 'Sinatra' is 1 of the heaviest riffs ever.  Not the heaviest that they've ever done.

Yeah I agree, there's more to overall heaviness than just riff. Vocally it's not that heavy, that goes to lotion or WGTB.

5/22/11 - Sunset Cove Amphitheater
8/7/12 - Verizon Center

I was thinking, what if Chino screamed a lot more on lotion rather than just ring it? It could compete with WGTB

Jesus, he's keeps getting lower and lower.

On another note... Yep. WGTB.

Can't believe some people forgot Bored and My Own Summer! Damone gets heavy, but more in a vocal context with Chi and Chino going at it.

Elite, Rapture, Rats!, tons of heavy riffing through out Diamond Eyes (like Royal, DE, CMND CNTRL, etc) . All I can think of at the moment.

Edit: 100th Post! Only took me like, 3 years lol.  ;D

DJR

Well there are heavy songs...and there are chonky parts!

Endings of Diamond Eyes, Beware, Bloody Cape and even the riff in Riviere are chonks...then there are overall songs like Elite, Rats Rats Rats, When Girls...

Adrenaline:Engine No 9
ATF: Rickets, Lotion
White Pony: Elite
Self Titled: When Girls Telephone Boys, Hexagram
SNW: Rats! Rats! Rats!, Rapture

The closest thing on Diamond Eyes to be considered "Heavy" is Royal.. and don't even really consider that one to be heavy =/
Really, not even the ending?

I think it's obviously WGTB, but TO ME, Lotion is the heaviest. Even after so many years of hearing it that song just get's me so fucking amped! AHHHHHH!!!! lol

Can I use this chair? Seriously can I use it?

I'll do two lists. heaviest song on an album emotionally and then heaviest song on each album in terms of smashing the shit out of drums and loud ass guitars.

Emotionally heavy songs:
Adrenaline - fist
Around the fur - headup OR mascara
White pony - pink maggit
Deftones - deathblow
SNW - rivière
DE - there are no emotionally heavy songs. Maybe risk but its a pop album plain and simple. Something fun to put on when kicking it with your friends. Maybe risk because its about chi or this place is death. The lyrics on this album are more about creating an atmosphere, mood an imagery that is generally positive or myterious. Certainly nothing that really hits you in your soul. Not for me anyway. Still love the album though.

Now for the straight up loud:
Adrenaline - engine no. 9 (dat shit don't quit!)
Around the fur - Damone
White pony - elite
Deftones - when girls telephone boys
SNW - rats! rats! rats!
DE - again, it's a pop album. There are no loud crushing brutal songs. That 10 seconds in Royal is as close as it gets.

VictorPL

um.....  how is the live version of finger of death not on here? does it not count? that is the heaviest shit they ever put out imo. that song is so fucking brutal.
