You know there will be. Leathers, Rosemary, Gauze all have very heavy moments. Im sure there will be more within the album. This shit is all good I can just feel it. Its going to be more melodic overall but that is really going to make the harder shit pop even more.

There's going to be way less heavy parts than people expect

That'll disappoint a lotta ppl lol. I get the feeling Goon Squad will be the heaviest song on the album, but who knows? I assumed Romantic Dreams would be heavy, but maybe the reason they call it a monster track is because of all the tempo-changes rather than heaviness. Ah well, wont be long now. I dont mind the album not being so heavy, I love what I've heard.

i can barely get to see a raiders game in AU... they have become impossible to follow. i have to try and watch them sketchily online

all other games show up online, but raiders games.. they barely ever do

I dont mind it as long as they dont keep tryna re-create a past album, or go so far out that they might as well be a different band. They've done neither, in my opinion, so I'm happy. To me they're just using their past albums as influences, as well as any new things they wanna do, musically, and this is the end result. Seems like they're steering away frm the completely heavy songs, but they've never done a ton of songs like that anyways, it's mostly been about mixing the different aspects together, so as long as they do that, that's the Deftones I know and love.
