So i was thinking a great way to raise money for chi would be for Deftones to re-record some of their linus demos. I would gladly donate for those recordings. Plus, its something everyone would want and since its going towards a VERY IMPORTANT cause, why not!

This should be the new petition!

didn't a fan ask chino if they would ever re-record any of the linus stuff?

as you're all probably well aware, my memory is shit. but i'm pretty sure he was asked and said no.

Vesanic

If I remember well, someone once said here on SL that he had asked this to Chino after a show in 2003. He pretty much laughed at him.

deftoolsys07

yeah i mean why would they... sure maybe we like the songs and jam out to them and shit, but they have moved on and forgot about those demos... especially chino, i mean he said he doesn't like playing 7 words anymore, and i'm sure he won't want to sing the songs that he wrote when he was only fuckin 15 and shit.. he's matured.. i can understand the rest of the band not minding because it's all just music in the end, but for chino to have to go and put down vocals on songs he doesn't care about anymore is too much i think..

Talking about what Chino thinks about his old stuff, deftoneskid told me that one of his friends asked Chino after the show in Mexico why they don't play Rickets anymore, Chino said he hated the song.

Nebontha

What the hell band re-records demos they made almost 20 years ago?
...But then again, that might be cool...

HAH!  Told you bitches I was schizo!  ;D

Motherfucking racists.

Costs money to record. They'd probably barely break even.

only us old folks here on SL would buy that record knowing that it was the old demos re-recorded.... and the newer fans not knowing what it is...

I can't believe that no-one thinks that Chi would help Chi if we could get someone over there to see him I feel it would help him a great deal...

Crazylegs

And most of the songs are garbage anyway.

I was joking :L I've heard all of the like linus stuff and really love it. Was hogburg hop on  it or not? The actual song like linus is sweet as fuck too, was that the first song steph used a looper on? I wouldnt be surprised.

Sushi-X

I would prefer they just release Eros, instead of some old demos
