Alot of you guys/gals/mothers or whatever talking shit on sharing lungs or the state of it are missing all the positive things about this board. Sure alot of us are snarky and sarcastic as hell sometimes, but most of the time it's just harmless ribbing. Of course there's the random actual disagreement here or there, but that's mostly because after all these years, alot of us are just as passionate as ever about Deftones, although sure, alot of us are pretty set in our ways and views on the subject.
Personally, i welcome new blood to this site, i really think it's great, but yea if you new guys are in that early Deftones mania, that's great! When you've just discovered the greatest band in the world, that's a great feeling, trust me, i remember how that feels, totally engrossed in Deftones mentally. Just understand that most of the people on this board went through all that years ago if not a decade so cut US some slack.

I, for one, am not interested in starting a thread like "I really like Chino because he could have his own sit-com or be in pepsi commercials, or be a multimillion record selling pop artist, but he just CHOOSES not to, because all that stuff is beneath him." My point is platinum selling commercial throwaway candy pop artists aren't knocking down Chino's door to work with him any more than tribes in Africa are knocking down his door rallying for him as their tribal leader. Is Chino so cool because he just doesn't CHOOSE to be a tribal leader for the liberian nationalists? NO, THEY'RE NOT ASKING, SO HOW COULD IT BE A CHOICE ON HIS PART NOT TO DO SOMETHING HE IS NOT BEING ASKED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I don't care who you are, or if you've been on this board for ten years or stared sharing lungs, THAT'S A STUPID TOPIC.

Also, defmajyfrkuyf, please stay out of it or delete your account again, stop bashing this whole board and all of us because you're not above any of this. Take a chill pill, i come on here all the time, calm down, it's not that serious. Grow some thicker skin, there's WAY more LOVE on this board than HATE, unless you're blind.

it impossible to actually get a straight answer and when people are talkin personal shit about child birth and such, thats not harmless ribbing.  i shouldnt nor should anybody else be offended just for asking a question on the tones.

Plus if that is somebodies opinion on something to talk shit on childbirth then surely its mine to be offended and angrily remark on it.    I got three kids, my girl gave birth 4 times, go figure.
I don't like people talkin shit on women givin birth even if its a joke no matter where they say it.

. I was watching a video of Deftones playing at the Bizarre Festival in 1998. And when they played "Lotion" the weirdness began. First of all it was raining cats and dogs, Chino was wet from head to feet. Then during the song Chino jumped to the bars near to the crowd, but right on the 1st second some guy pulled Chino's mic and started to scream "ahhhahh", then a bodyguard punched the drunken guy on the head and Chino was able to sing again. But it was not over, cause Chino climbed the bars and started the chorus "I feel sick..." but another crazy guy started to tear up Chino's shirt as if it was a souvenir or something, he was wearing a shirt like this |here|...but Chino didn't like it at all, cause after the souvenirs man tore up his shirt, Chino almost punched him, but he didn't reach his face. But that guy was such a pain in the ass, cause after Chino's advice he started to pull another piece of Chino's shirt. Chino was furious... it was "It's classical anyways..." time and after Chino sing that, he bended over this annoying guy and screamed "WHAT THE FUCK!!" And after that the stupid fan stopped to make shit like that. Before the end of "Lotion", Chino stood still on the pit looking at his wrecked shirt and singing "I feel sick right here, I feel sick right here..." Then on the end of "Lotion" Chino climbed to the stage again and tore up the rest of his shirt and sang "Bored".

Everyone's responsible only for themselves. From_musings was only voicing his own opinion, if he was even serious. Don't take everything to heart, he is a stranger to you, what do you care what he thinks anyway, lots of people say lots of insensitive things, is that new to you? I'm just saying don't demonize everyone for your disagreement with one or two people, that's unfair as well. But to be honset i agree with him only in the sense that being a mother doesn't give you any kind of special pass, don't play cards if you don't want to get involved in a poker game.

I think the title of the song is an allusion to Silence of The Lambs when Buffalo Bill says "it puts the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again"
After all, violence and sex are the most common themes to their music.

@defmjk - it's quite obvious that these newcomers don't need your heroic efforts.and why would they, they're adult women.they can take care of themselves and understand that it's all in good stupid fun. there's no drama except the one you're creating by running around from topic to topic - yellin,crying -  whipping up the mood. and why? because YOU are a sensitive boy who sees the world through some kind of emo-glasses.nothing wrong about being sensitive though, but you don't have to act out 100%of the feelings you have all at once because of some dumb posts on the internet. try listening to some dolphine and whale sounds on the stereo and drink some calming St. John's Wort herbal tea.
