This time is Thursday, and I must say they did a nice job at it, adding a bit of their own to it.

fucking sharks, always taking a bite outta something...

doubt that it was a conscious effort to rip them off.

Yeah this song kinda rips it, but i don't it was conscious either...

30stm however...they will burn in limbo until the end of time.
And somewhere, There's someone who cares. With a heart of gold, To have and to hold.

Surly that fact that chi recorded the majority of s/t & snw on a 5 string bass has limited current deftones set lists as Sergio seems reluctant to make the transition from the four string.

IMO that's why songs such as beware haven't been touched since Sergio joined as sections such as that heavy brakedown ending just wouldnt work on a four string no matter how far you try to drop that e string.

Tucker (thursday's drummer) is a big deftones fan. Remember thursday & deftones toured together with thrice in 2004 or so. So anybody who does this kind of drum pattern knows where it comes from. Still, he added some stuff of its own, so respect.

Thursday RT'd someone saying "PLEASE!" when someone suggested Thursday and Deftones tour together. They are big fans. When the new Thursday song was released, I listened to it like 30 times since I'm a big fan, and RX Queen didn't come to mind, but I get what you're saying. I doubt it was on purpose

well, deftones also took bites here and there  :) for example, if you listen to deftones from around 1993, having in mind that korn released their album in 1994, and then listen to how deftones sound in 95,after korns first release, then i think it's safe to say that that chino was heavily influenced by jonathan davis way of singing.nothing wrong with that though.(later on, i think it's more of cure influences when it comes to the vocals)
