i reckon there's people here from around the globe. A person from poland or indonesia won't go bananas because deftones tour usa.deftone's been touring for about a year now.also, you've just discovered deftones.forgive a person who's been into deftones for about 15 years for not being as excited as you :)

i'm from Poland and i love Deftones music about 11 years. and hey - like 'from_musings' said - this is Deftones tour in USA.
...so i must be very exicted becuase Deftones never played in Poland and i think that they will never play?
and yes - Deftones is not big like Peral Jam.

I still have passion for DEFTONES, and it's like more than 12 years loving their music and people going mental when they appear on stage- like me-and that happen all  the times i've seen them :. five times...but the tour is in USA not in my country...

Unfortunately, I can't travel across the World for pre-beers etc.

Also, everyone could be mutant ninja turtles for all I know.

This guy has a point, but not everyone feels the same about this.
For me it's rather the good memories I have going nuts to White Pony when it came out, or seeing dredg for the first time six years ago, the flashback I get when I get high and listen to Lateralus by Tool.

My father waited a decade for Iron Maiden to release another good album after Brave New World, and he's still not happy with the last one, because he especially loved their albums from the 80's. So basically, no matter what they release, it will never be the same for him, because he will always remember their old days, you know?

And I can easily transfer this into my own life - I had my big new metal phase, big emocore phase, big metalcore phase, and obviously also the deftones phase.... And when a band I used to love to death releases a new album, I know beforehand it won't give me the same excitement like their earlier stuff did. But that is not a bad thing, because I don't define myself as much by the music I listen to like it used to be the case.

well....I've been a Pearl jam fan for close to 20 years now and i still go nuts when i hear a tour is coming....and they fucking tour like almost every year!!

I guess music is more important to some than others.....it means every thing to me, so when i get a chance to see a band i love live, it makes me a very happy man!!

Just be greatful you were around in the old days :( I've been a fan for the last two and a half years and I've always known I missed the peak. It sucks because the 95 - 03 deftones embody everything I love.

976-EVIL

Gotta say I love Crazy Breeds passion. I think the excitement for the most recent tour is tempered by the location they are touring.

When Diamond Eyes was released this place was buzzing, then the AIC tour, East coast headlining tour, then overseas, now back home. Each area toured saw a buzz on the board when Deftones were coming to "their area".

The only reason any of us are here is because of our LOVE for the Tones, except for Vesanic who is here to pick up chicks.....
One last Thing...You Should Beware the Content!!

Thank God that you........ love..... at all.

wait the peak of the board? perhaps, just because nuno was more involved with deftonesworld, the evolution and globalization of music and fan involvement due to the rise of the internet, etc. however, it appears from live videos and what small setlist i saw at blackdiamondskye, that the band is performing just as well, if not better than those years.

Yay for bland boring al rock that has been watered down by bands like Creed, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback.

I have been to 14 Pearl jam shows in the past 3 and 1/2 years

Amateur.  I see that many shows by my favorite band in a few months time.

ah, i guess i mistook your post as being about the board being slow.

i still say they just made some of their best music, but i would agree that white pony days were the ¨peak¨. in my opinion, DE should being creating similar -- not more, but very close -- results as those days. their performances seem to support that lately. music industry is very different nowadays though.

when the rock record of the year from itunes doesn't even get nominated for a grammy paints a perfect picture as to who really gives a shit about this band.

Maybe some, but not all. This whole thread is a joke anyway. I just hope Deftones don't run into any problems in Australia in areas effected by flooding, and i hope the people of Australia are managing to cope.

I still check this place most days and always will, as long as it keeps going.
