Agree!!!! and very underrated.
I'm sure that, given a bit of time, it will eventually become a classic amongst the fans on this site.
Always happens when you're expecting an album to sound a certain way and it comes out sounding completely different to what you were expecting and hoping for.
It can take a while to get over this initial disappointment, to realise what a masterful display of songwriting it really is.
Chino even managed to make his voice and screams sound different, bringing a new element to the album. They sounded very raw and almost fragile.
Although I prefer the way he screams on S/T for eg. it was a nice change for that particular album.
I find the atmosphere and mood of the album very haunting.
I think they've succeeded in making an album different from previous albums, whilst not sacrificing anything in quality in order to achieve something different.
I love that it's not a WP or ATF or S/T volume 2.
They brought us something fresh and new, while still retaining the core Deftones sound with all the elements we love about this band - I couldn't have asked for more!!!!

I love this cover too, my favorite one. plus this is probably my favorite deftones album also. I actually got the picture of the cover off e-bay about the size of a vinyl sleeve and im planning on enlarging it to the size of a poster, framing it and putting it up in my living room. its not even the fact that its a deftones cover, its one of my favorite pictures of all time.
