useless topic alert! last night i was at a bar during some death metal local band show and while i was in the washroom i was reading the endless amount of bathroom stall graffiti. most of it was your typical so and so is a fine piece of ass, something something i'm awesome, call xxx-xxxx for some rip roaring sodomy, but then my eyes fell upon one that simply read, "the deftones are gay". i had a good chuckle since everything i witnessed that night reaffirmed my stance that most of these punk and black metal kids are just angry repressed homosexual suburban white kids who are angry at mom and pop so they wear their shirts with some black metal band with an unreadable logo (since they're obviously undereducated and frankly, suffer from very poor penmanship) and super hip anti-religion slogans like "faith is your failure" (which is one i actually saw last night a couple times) prancing about and wiping their hair from their pizza faces as they headbang to some band of 20 year olds with a possible 45 year old crack addict for a singer who screams about a miserable existence (cheer up fella, it ain't so bad!). i actually had a pretty good time at the show, mostly because of the sheer amount of alcohol i had consumed to socially adapt to this primitive state and it was nowhere near as bad as the hipster drug party i attended mere hours later. i might go back get a picture of it because the graffiti around it was also a rather hilarious insight into the mind of whoever wrote this in the first place. personally i could care less what people think about deftones or really any other band i like. i openly admit most of the music i listen to is for pussies anyway so i'm not really bothered by it. anyway i've been rambling quite a bit but i just thought i'd share a little random deftones related occurrence from my everyday life that at least gave me a bit of a laugh. sorry for wasting your time.

Hahaha, funny you mentioned this. There's a bar here in Sacramento that has Deftones = Shit on the bathroom stall. I believe someone covered it up though as I haven't noticed it the past few times I've been there. I wonder if it was a Slipknot fan that did it due to the "= Shit" thing.

Gloritone

No need to apologize, no post is ever truly a waste of time...The second post about the Sacramento bar is also cool.

Sometimes I wish I had seen an early show of Deftones when they were just starting out; must have been cool especially if you live in Sacramento --> seems like a cool place to live...they have a paper called the Sacramento Bee; sounds so awesome! In Toronto we have the Star and the Sun.

On another note,
I have heard stories about Pearl Jam when they were unknown and they played a club in Vancouver, called The Town Pump and Eddie Vedder was so furious nobody was listening to them (and I'm sure nobody really was, people mostly sit and drink there; it was a tiny bar/club)  (now closed)  that he threw a chair across the room. Funny stuff - I love Pearl Jam by the way.
Just wondering, did anyone see Deftones when they were relatively unknown... I was reading some profiles at ZOMB and one guy has a
DVD of Deftones in a McDonalds parking lot in Minneapolis. I asked him for a copy a few weeks ago, but he never wrote me back. I was hoping to do a blank trade with him, or anyone who has it.

Hope someone out there likes my post and replies with some gossip/news!

I really hope that guy or girl who scribbled on that wall don't ever read or know about deftones fans making threads about it in a whining way like this. damn.

That person would laugh his ass off and write about embarrassing deftones fans in the same way on that wall for sure.

sing blue silver

i'm not really whining about it. if anything i thought it was funny.

Dude get that tree out of your asshole for a bit, where do you see whining ?

Gloritone

THANK-YOU Mikau and Vesanic! I have only seen One Weak so far...Amazing!! I am so happy you guys posted it for me (Yeah I'm not an expert in finding/downloading great performances like this; [still learning]...so much appreciated! Chino diving into crowd was excellent as usual!

So I have discovered there is some great gossip/pics on here like Chino with Adrenalynn!

Anyways, I am trying to start a record label...(trying my best to accumulate funds/find a business partner;   --> It used to be my dream but I have made it my mission now!)

If anyone knows of any new bands, (they can be from anywhere!) please drop me a line at:
Antimony723@aol.com
or facebook:  www.facebook.com/Gloritone

Cheers!
and keep on loving great rock music

Go ahead and re-read the first post and the 2nd under it (mine). There was no whining you R-tard. We both just mentioned it, for the hell of it since it's....I don't know.....a message board. I don't know why I waste my time responding to fools like you, but I do.

momo
