"A new covers EP entitled "Covers Of The Damned" is being prepared in conjunction with Atreyu's forthcoming headlining "Congregation Of The Damned Tour". The EP, which will be made available October 12th, will find the tours billing of Atreyu, Blessthefall, Chiodos, Architects and Endless Hallway each covering a song on the EP.

So far the only revealed track is Atreyu's cover of Aerosmith's "Livin' On The Edge". Further covers of songs originally done by the Deftones, Thin Lizzy, The Dead Kennedys and Volbeat will appear on the outing."

that might actually be pretty cool.

Yeah if you're going to cover Deftones, please stop covering the same songs.  It seems like anytime a band does a cover it's My Own Summer.

i'm looking forward to it, but beware, it'll likely get the same response that Suicide Silence's Engine No. 9 cover got.

This. I would love to hear some cool covers but My Own Summer is so over-done. I never even liked it much as an original track. I think the Engine No.9 Cover by Suicide Silence was pretty legit and interesting, even if you're not a fan of the genre, it was cool.
