Aren't we all a bit tired of the deftones releasing shitty products with shitty sound? It's not that complicated buddies, just throw the b-side we all want and everything is good. The sound on the live tracks is mediocre to say the least, and do we need yet another live "official" version of birthmark? plus, the performance was quite off compared to more recent performances. ugh, I don't get it; best band in the world doing the worst releases in the world.

I don't think the song in question got left out because It's bad or anything, just that it didn't fit the flow of the record.
They wanted a record that felt very "whole" and maybe they felt that song didn't flow right with the other tracks.
but the song itself is probably dope, I would kill to hear it

I like that track a lot too. But I would'nt know where to put it on the record. maybe after hexagram and before needles.

That would make many people happy I think. For me, I think moana is an excellent closer. It leave you in a sweaty hollow silent darkness with your pulse up.Personally i don't want to hear anything that destroys that mood and atmosphere that it leaves you with.

It's difficult. Lovers are almost a little too dreamy, white pony-ish, to be perfect anywhere in ST

I don't experience the same blackness/darkness with lovers as in many other self titled tracks, it's more of sad lullaby feel to it , while many self titled songs have that dooms day feel to them with absolutley no hope at all. And although lovers is great- in it's own way, there's probably no perfect place for it. and it seems someone somewhere agrees with me because it didn't show up on the self titled record. There may be something similiar with the extra track off diamond eyes..... good track alone, but no real home

Better than nowt. I got used to the sound of the live B Sides stuff; like on the My Own Summer single or Live EP.

I used to think about switching 'Lovers' with 'Moana' but now I dig 'Moana' too much to not be on the record. 'Lovers' would have been a cool hidden track though.
