outtakes means songs that were recorded/written during a recording session and didn't make it to the record. Bumble B is an outtake, Buffalo is an outtake, I'll throw rocks at you is an outtake from the ATF/WP sessions(that got released). It doesn't matter what format it does come out I think, it doesn't affect the concept.

Yup V, steph told that in some interview, that only one song that was recorded didn't make it to the record, which he says it was a pity since he really liked that song.

singles are definately a place to put outtakes.  It was the only reason i ever used to buy singles and its what makes them worth buying, i dont get the point in more than one live track.  Ah well, the outtake will have one more chance to be released hopefully.

as far as i know, those songs bumble D and Buffalo  arent outtakes because they weren't recorded. chino never finished the lyrics according to Steph.

That's right. It's only 1-track promo CD. I don't think this 3-tracks edition will be released on CD:(

yeah i've read about that too. there is most certainly a song from the diamond eyes sessions that didn't make it on the album. hopefully it'll surface someday. they usually do.

Aren't we all a bit tired of the deftones releasing shitty products with shitty sound? It's not that complicated buddies, just throw the b-side we all want and everything is good. The sound on the live tracks is mediocre to say the least, and do we need yet another live "official" version of birthmark? plus, the performance was quite off compared to more recent performances. ugh, I don't get it; best band in the world doing the worst releases in the world.
