Week #3 Diamond Eyes Sales Update.

Diamond Eyes slides down from #18 to #31 on the US Billboard chart moving 12,500 units total this week.

Total US Sales to date is 94,500 units and is expected to exceed 100,000 next week.

I think it will be one of humanities biggest crimes if it doesn't go platinum - it really deserves it - but there is no justice in this world.

for these days those are good numbers. it has no shot at going gold, but it's really hard to go gold thes days let alone platinum. i heard the riaa are considering lowering the amount of copies sold for gold and platinum. these days 250k should be gold, 500k platinum, maybe even lower

snw sold a bit better, but in 06 album sales in general were better. adjusted DE is doing a bit better

I bought the iTunes version, and the physical copy the first week.    Those numbers are pretty low. It's a shame.    I guess being number 31 isn't that bad though.

I would imagine the band cares.  Which as a result makes the fans care, seeing as how they care about the band.  A lot of people probably want to see something good happen for these guys, want them to get the recognition they deserve.  In an industry where complete shit bands get huge and hog the spot light, its a refreshing renewal oh hope to see a really good band succeed.  Also more success for Deftones means that they may start to play bigger venues, get a DVD deal, get money for more videos, etc. etc. etc.  I would imagine those are some of the reasons people care.
