to let yourself go psychically like he did, when he is a singer a performer - it get consequences. he didnt sing aswell,  his stage performance was lazy and sloppy, and the songs that required lots of enegry and songs that needed high notes suffered
enormously for the weight. he now says he take care of himself and he therefor feels better and if he feels better the creativity goes up.  to be able to talk about that problem _while youre in it_ is BRAVE, to act like everything is fine is not. to talk about it after that period isnt so brave either

you thought of it as brave when chino talked about his gone weight now- well in that case i think it would have been more brave to talk about it back then when it affected the band and he was in the shit.it would be harder for him-therefor more to admire

He's right though, when writing your own shit, it gets boring after a while. The only exciting part is playing them live. Which is why despite all the crap they've gone through, they've come back to play. If they strictly did recordings and rarely any shows they'd be long gone!

Thanks for the good reading subliminal. This is probably the best interview i read from them, pretty honest answers and NOW i know i was right about feeling something weird back in ST/SNW era.

Good to know that despite Chi's situation, they are in a better place.

thanks for posting the scans i knew they would show up so i was amazed someone would write down everything letter by letter.

It is the final version. The quality is 320kps. No leaks are ever that high in quality if they're this early!

What's so crazy about the rumour of Deftones themselves leaking it? Has anyone seen how many views Rocket Skates has gotten on Youtube!? Something tells me this leak will only mean good things for the band.

I only get a good feeling from this leak and the coming success of the album. Everyone loves to get on their high horse and get all angry about it leaking. But it's time to realize, it's going to happen and it gets more people keen and into what it is that is leaking. This is only a good thing for a band and I'm sure they'll know this themselves.

If this leak gets more people to a show and buying Merch. It's a WIN/WIN situation for the band.

and now chino says that he isnt happy about the leak at all.
