the video is 60% reasonably suited to the song and 40% FAIL.  like most of their videos.  

for some reason, at the end, I find myself thinking I could make a better video.  granted, i'm probably wrong ... but it's so very apparent that somebody was like, "I know, let's break some glass and then we'll use it somehow in the video".  but they couldn't come up with anything remotely creative, so they just overlayed it on the top.  and seriously, you have the owl mirror imaged several times?  seriously?  SERIAL?

• that glass/water/diamonds thing
• the darkness, the lights and the smoke
• the way Chino moves

Lowlights

• those owl-women (do they always have to put girls in their videos?)
• the way Chino is dressed: my grandma's fav t-shirt ant the trousers he used when he was 9

In the end I like it: as you all said, the most important thing is that it's better than HITE and Mein.

The owl women ritual theme gives me a very "The Holy Mountain" (Alejandro Jodorowski film) feel. The video also feels very David Lynch in presentation. In this sense, I like it. I feel like it really fits Deftones' abstractness. I haven't heard the song yet so I don't know how it will flow the music but I'm sure it will work on that level. Great video. I'm sure I'll love it even more once I hear the song with it.

while it's indeed pretty boring, it's stylish and artistic - which is more than the majority of their other videos. they've done better, but they've also done so much worse.
