If it makes you feel better, I allowed myself to listen to "Diamond Eyes", so I could watch the video.  I tried watching the video on mute, but it made no sense.  So I turned on the volume and enjoyed it.  Been stuck in my head all day long.  There's this one part where Chino sings "once and for all" right before the chorus, and it sounds epic!

Dude i can top that. My girl had one of her friends download the leak and put the WHOLE thing on her i pod! Not to listen to it. Just to fuck with my head!!!!! Lol. Fucked up shit. Just knowing it's right there is messed up. I said if we were in the car and she turned on anything from the album, i'd throw her fucking I-Pod out the damn window.

a friend of mine who was really into the deftones for the longest time...stopped listening to them after the Self Titled album...and he barely said anything when I had mentioned that Saturday Night Wrist was out back in 2006.  And then yesterday, he writes to me saying 'Diamond eyes' is one of their best albums ... 

so that just makes these next 19 days that much tougher.

if the album is that good - I'd much rather hear a clear and crisp CD copy of it...along with the leaflet, etc.  I'm sure the Deftones Team put a decent amount of thought and effort into the entire feel of the album - the look, the sound, and of course the vibe they've created in all the weeks leading up to the release....so getting that CD in my had will be the accumulation of all that.  You can't beat that with a folder on a hard drive.

I'm starting to wish I had waited too. I wore the album out already. it's not that I'm sick of it, every time I put it on I'm still amazed by its greatness. but I've been kinda busy with other albums lately and this one has had to take the backseat.

but on the other hand, it got to be the soundtrack to a couple of the most awesome weekends I've had in years.

Agreed. That's a pretty stupid comment to make (Not trying to be a dick). But. We're holding out cos we're "those" type of fans that look forward to a release like it's a holiday. (Taking the day off and all  ) The people who downloaded it (And are still buying it) Our just a different type of fan. And there is nothing wrong with either but the truth is that a REAL fan will still buy this album despite anything. . . . And not I'm rambling cos i'm still drunk from last night. HA!

Only listened to the album 2 times the day it leaked. Deleted it and haven't listened to it since. I've forgotten how most of the songs sound like, so I'm fucking stoked to get the real thing.

Indeed. Completely missing the point. This is just how we like to do it out of tradition of having the physical album for the first listen. Its for us. We just enjoy it better this way.

same here, watched the video like 3 times, and had that chorus all over my head, then on the radio i heard the intro and said WTF!!!!  
but i HAD to listen to it. I've been asking to the radio station for something of Deftones, and then they put DE?? haha...  
but the wait will be semi-over with me, next weekend XD
