I listened to Rocket Skates, Diamond Eyes and Royal.

Now i put an hold on it.... may 18 is the day.... !!

Dude that's REALLY impressive. I've heard Rocket Skates and the 30 sec preview of Diamond Eyes, but that's it. My policy is if the band/label has sanctioned the release, then I'll listen to it. That said, even if the band/label streams the album on myspace a week early, I will resist listening to it. I can't wait to listen to it while flipping through the booklet and checking out the liner notes and lyrics. It seems kinda trashy to hear this opus via leak. It'd be like losing your virginity to a prostitute!

Only heard rocket skates so far - but i'm going to hold out on the rest...it leaking this early has definitely made my life one million times harder...but it'll be worth the wait...especially now that i've read how solid the album is.

Haha exactly. It's fun to build up a bunch of anticipation, go out and buy it the first day and go home, but on some headphones and listen to it while looking through the linear notes.

I haven't done that since 2004 man... I wish I could, but I just click download straight away. It's like seeing the present in your Mums wardrobe before you receive it at Xmas. You'll do anything to have it now..

Haha, I'm always on a bizarre quest for the perfect listening conditions whenever Deftones come out with a new album. When SNW came out, I took the bus, and bought the album, a new pair of nice headphones, and a walkman. When I got back to the room, I locked the door (my roommate was a VERY smelly guy, and I didn't want him coming in unexpectedly), closed the blinds, turned off the lights, and got ready to listen. The problem was it was a bitch of a hot day in Massachusetts, especially in my crappy dorm, so, on my quest for undivided and undisturbed listening perfection, I stripped down to my boxers and set up a fan at the bottom of my bed for optimal temperature conditions, haha. It was worth the opportunity to hear the album without any interruptions or distractions, haha, so don't judge me Sharing Lungs, don't judge me.

I'm gonna wait, there's not alot of times in life that I actually look forward to. A new Deftones release would rank pretty high up there, and I don't want to fuck it up with a stupid intenet leak. I do that for EVERY other album, so I'm gonna stick this one out

Power to all you guys holding out - seriously - but downloading this album has not diminished by anticipation one bit. I thought I'd feel bad, but I don't.
I'm still just as amped (maybe even moreso) to get the hard-copy on May 18, roll a joint and crank this shit up while reading the along with the lyrics and liner-notes.

Best 'tones since WP - easily.

(oh, and just to make it a bit harder for you - as pumped as I was when I first heard Rocket Skates, IMO it's the weakest song on the album)

same here,
i listen to Rocket Skates now and then or watch the video, and I've listened to Diamond Eyes ONLY 4 times, from the one that was with the interview, and that's it.
I'll wait, but i don't know if i'll listen to it the week before their show here in Mexico (April) to know the songs, or listen the songs live and then listen them on the album...
but i think i can wait until April to make a decission

and listen now an then ONLY Rocket Skates or something they release officially.
