the discussion sadly and obviously will stop at "hey,i like downloading stuff for free, maybe warner want me to?  i think so!" ...thinking in egostic ways....insted of thinking of how the minds at warner operates. it seems like if u hate buying records you will support the theory that warner, who likes making big bucks, want peolpe to get it for free before the drop. my guess is that if either one of you who support the "give stuff away for free" theory exist at warner, if u would work there a day u would laugh at that opinion.
they should in that case do like radiohead and post it on a site and have an option to actually donate some money for it..insted of releasing it without such a option at all

I just hope this version that we have does not change for the real release, save for maybe quality.

But as for quality goes, even in my car with my system and headphones, etc, this sounds really good and mastered. But I'm no audio techie so maybe I'm wrong.

It's clearly the finished product. Every song sounds brilliant through my stereo and all these little sounds people are noticing are either from Frank or because they've got a lesser quality than 320kps

What's so crazy about the rumour of Deftones themselves leaking it?

if warner and deftones want people to get their stuff for free, why isnt the mp3s available on the warner website or at deftones.com?

Leaking it in spite of the label, because the label treats them like shit. Look at what happened to promote SNW.....exactly, barely anything.

I'm just saying, in support of the rumour.. that's the only reason why I can see it being leaked by the band themselves. People are so quick to call these things crazy. But it'd make sense to leak it. Since the Label hasn't done them any favours since White Pony and if anyone wishes to disagree with that, it's fine. The evidence is all there.

I love this band so much along with countless others. Yet they don't seem as succesful as bands such as Korn or Disturbed? why is that!?

Really? I don't hear any of that on the songs I've got. Mine sounds like a finished album to me.

I say if the record is good, it's going to sell. Leaking shouldn't matter. Hell, what's the difference between people getting it now or just downloading it after it's released? The same amount of money is lost.

Warner pumps in lots in advertising, rocket skates video etc. and they dont do it to be nice,theyre doing it as an investment to make money. they want their spent money back (and then some) - in the form of record revenues, they want to harvest what they have sowed, and therefor it would be incredibly rude of the deftones to release the disc for free, months before.hell I do think it's pretty criminal. sounds far-fetched.

i will tell you that it's what.cd. if you don't know, it's a private torrent site where alot of albums are first leaked. you must be invited to join, or interview to get in.
